Hand on bottom while taking rectal temperature

I have no memory of having my rectal temperature being taken as a child. Whenever my wife has been over my lap or on her side with a thermometer embedded in her rear, my hand was almost always there to deliver a soothing bun rub. It definitely provides a comforting reprieve when one is not feeling at their best.

I remember my father holding my cheeks open when he lubed and took my temp.. so I guess that counts as hand on butt...

I just added a new post. At appointments, no hand as the taker is busy writing notes or doing other things while the thermometer registers in my bottom.

I love the feeling of a warm hand on my bottom as the thermometer registers. Even better with soft caressing and moving the thermometer in and out.

I distinctly remember my mother's palm on my brother's and sister's bottoms when she took their temperatures. They were both younger than I.

Never had anyone taking my temperature keep their hand on my bottom. I wouldn’t have complained if they had.

Can't remember that but for sure I am doing that when I take a patients temperature with a slight pressure of both cheeks together with my thumb and middle finger.

So it was done to me, too, when I was young, a resting hand on my cheeks, sometimes holding the thermometer in place, my dad sometimes had a pressing finger at the end of the thermometer so sometimes it was gently pushed farer in during registering time. At the pediatrician my briefs were pushed back over my cheeks so the thermometer was hold by it automatically
