AI generated/assisted stories and images

I'm starting to wonder if this doesn't deserve an entire forum of its own.

Not that it *has* deserved one and been neglected... More, that I'm seeing more and more reference to it in discussions, images, and elsewhere in general.

For now, though, I'd love for anyone who has had any fun and/or success utilizing AI to help create fetish-focused art to share their experiences and recommendations.

As far as images go, it's been hit-or-miss. No, that's not right... it's been miss-or-miss. Weeeeiiiird pictures have come my way, I wish I'd saved some of them for posting.

For writing, I've found moderate success with two tools. Here's the first one:

Pirr

Pirr is a free app I downloaded for iOS. This is important, because I've come across others I wanted to try but found them to be Android/PC only (Thanks Apple!). Its stated intention is to be a place/tool where people can "fantasize together". It does this by enabling a) public viewing of your fantasy/erotica while you're writing it, and b) for others to request access so they can also write/contribute alongside you. This ... can be very cool. When it works. With strangers, however, as you can imagine, it's not terribly easy to find rapport and common interests based solely on a few tossed out kinky paragraphs.

Where it excels is that it will offer you 2-4 paragraphs to choose from. You may:

a. Choose any one of them and add it to your story/fantasy,

b. Choose any one of them and then edit it however you like before adding it, or

c. Ignore the offered suggestions and write the next paragraph entirely on your own.

If the AI syncs up with your twisted little mind, then the suggestions it offers can be creative and/or surprising, and they can help you write much more quickly and easily than if you had to do it on your own. If it's just not picking up what you're laying down, give it the boot and keep your story going on your own.

Here's two I created and published here as examples of what I came up with. They've both gotten some love, both here as well as on my Tumblr blog, and it's enough that I think I need to write part two of Annie the Librarian.

She's definitely overdue for her follow-up visit...

The other tool I just stumbled upon thanks to someone here (thank you @PerfectPinch ! Great suggestion!) is https://beta.character.ai/

Basically, it allows you to have conversations with characters that the developers, or other users, have created. These characters can be similar to each other, but they can also be quite distinct. Regardless, I was really impressed with the quality of a fake "online pelvic exam" scenario I experimented with.

Pros:

1. Quick and easy to use.

2. Did a pretty decent job trying to lean into the emotions and feelings I was working to elicit.

3. Tended to be a little repetitive, but at least it was giving me material with each and ever interaction. This exceeded a lot of RP exams I've done with real women, because they're not nearly as likely to be as verbose and, yes, repetitive, with their wording. Most humans would think it unnecessary to continue saying I feel like I'm on the edge of tears. I feel your hands on my breasts and I just want to cry with the embarrassment or some facsimile thereof. But, from the doctor side of things, I found it kinda satisfying to be receiving constant feedback into how my patient was doing as the exam progressed.

Cons:

1. Repetitive - yeah, it can get old too ... both a pro and a con.

2. Limited to NC-17 or PG-13 ... definitely skipped on the unrated areas. All of the anatomical details I referred to, including nipples and breasts, were used to formulate an appropriate response. When I moved into the pelvic exam portion, as long as I was fairly vague, it was okay, but when I specified actions like "inserting my fingers into your vagina", "slipping my other finger into your bottom while my first finger is still above it in your vaginal canal", the AI gave me an error that it couldn't generate "an appropriate response".

Appropriate, my ass...

Or hers, to be fair.

Still -- while I don't plan to use it for fantasy and RP, I definitely like the idea of playing with different types of characters and see how they respond to the kinds of twisted fantasies and stimuli I'm coming up with these days.

I'm very much opposed to AI writing and art, not on principle but because the way the existing programs function is through theft of work by writers and artists who did not give permission and were never informed their work has been scraped for their vast databases.

Without the theft of works created by actual humans, there would be no AI writing or images. Software companies could have hired and paid creative employees to create works for a database, but stealing was easier.

As a person who earns money through a creative endeavor, I have valid concerns that I am competing for sales against people who did not actually write what they're selling.

AI has many useful applications, but the way it creates fiction and images is entirely unethical.

Ha, I agree. They're pretty boring, honestly.

Not sure I like the idea of AI generated art. But times and mediums evolve. Photography was not accepted as an art form until a recognized artist - Alfred Steiglitz- started using it and It gradually became accepted as a viable art form used by many great artists . They would be amazed at what can be done digitally today to replace/augment what was done in the darkrooms years ago. As things evolve, they tend to be rejected at first, then gradually become more accepted. Tons of potential issues with AI that may or may not ever be fully resolved.
