Sporting an erection at the beach or pool

How did the folks around you, whether friend, foe, relative, or stranger react to this? Did anyone say anything?

They would stare, but erections were not uncommon, esp back in school.

And definitely as a teen, that thing went off all the time (usually the worst times). So embarrassing even if no one said anything.
