Corollary questions to how many enemas you've had.

After reading the thread about how many enema have you had in your life; a bunch of corollary questions began going through my noggin, such as: How many bars of Ivory soap have you used in your life... How many hours have you spent sitting on a toilet expelling enemas.... How many enema bags have you purchased in your life... How many bags have you thrown away thanks to guilt feelings... How many drug stores have you visited... etc..

These are great questions.

1. I have never used ivory soap in my enemas so no bars of ivory soap.

2. My average expulsion takes about 30 minutes. I have had lifelong issues with slow transit constipation, so it can be challenging to get all of an enema to come back out of me. It can take some time. Given that I have had approximately 5000 enemas over a lifetime, I have probably spent 2500 hours expelling.

3. I have purchased dozens of reusable bags in my lifetime and thrown dozens away. Sometimes to bags wear out and sometimes I get embarrassed about the amount of enema equipment I keep around and toss some of it. I have purchased hundreds of disposable bags and buckets over the years. The disposables are all tossed after one of two uses.

4. I have visited dozens of drugstores over the year to buy an enema bag. And, probably hundreds to purchase Fleet enemas. I have probably also visited a few dozen medical supply stores to buy disposable bags and buckets.

Respectfully, I'll pass on this question. Beyond TMI.

Here's a generalization -- partners and gals I've known -- one enema bag suffices for a woman; whereas men buy and collect a number of bags...

I can answer, “a lot!” to all! LOL

I've probably bought three bags in my (pretty long) lifetime. You take proper care, mainly letting them dry all the way, and the classic red bag will last a decade or two. Unfortunately, during that time the ribbed white hose always seems to develop bent places that nothing can straighten, and the cheap plastic hook for hanging the bag snaps within the first year.

I bought a replacement bag when a drugstore was going out of business, and that was at least ten years ago. Haven't taken off the shrink wrap yet.
