Beware Chastity Device with lock that would not open

Well, here's a cautionary little story for members.

I finally found/ordered a chastity device that I could get on. The holder ring opened up into two parts on a hinge. Others I bought were with a one-part ring and I just could not get the ring in the right position.

But with the newest one, I managed to get in, the cage locked onto the ring and then I used the small little lock that came with the set. All locked up, nice and snug.

Then, when I wanted to remove it, the lock wouldn't open back up again. I tried various ways, pushed the key in to various depts, all to no avail. There were three keys provided and none of them worked on the lock. Tried dozens of times.

So, then it's imagining time. Get a hacksaw? Yeah sure, hours and hours with the risk of slipping and cutting something else than the lock ring. I really couldn't think of anyone to help. Even at an ER, where in theory they are supposed to be used to seeing far more embarrassing situations, I didn't think they could do much about a malfunctioning lock.

So, only option I could think of was to lube everything up as much as possible and pull the locked chastity device off. It took some pulling and twisting and whatnot, but what a relief when it finally came off.

So, if I should ever try another, I will be sure to try out the lock on its own several times, to be certain it opens back up again.

I wonder if anyone has experienced anything similar?

Should I put this down to shoddy merchandize in general (Chinese) or a one time fluke of sorts? Maybe karma for something I don't know about? ... ha ha

I had that experience once where the lock won't open. I think I used 2 pairs of pliers to twist the thing apart or perhaps some heavy duty wire cutters to cut the loop. Forget the hack saw. A Dremel with a metal cutting disc/wheel will work better.

I will keep it in mind on my next try, I would have had to go out next day to buy a Dremel. ...ha ha

I did similar with a CB-3000 back in the day. I had it on then lost the keys. I ended up holding a soldering iron to the lock which heated it up enough that it melted through the pin and came off.

Also be careful with hinges, the old 3000's had them and it grabbed a tiny bit of my scrotum if I wasn't careful.

So, if I should ever try another, I will be sure to try out the lock on its own several times, to be certain it opens back up again.

@agracier did you contact the company to let them know your experience? The least they could do is send another lock with keys that actually do work. Credit for a future purchase would also be nice.

Seriously though, after restoring 4 historical homes, i own just about every tool out there. my first go to would have been bolt cutters. The standard padlocks that come with many chastity devices are pretty cheap and simple, they can often be opened by twisting them with two pair of pliers. i suspect even wire cutters would work, they're typically not hardened steel.

Still, i'd opt for having a set of bolt cutters at home for future endeavors.

This was the first time I ever succeeded in getting a chastity device on. Other models I bought had too small holding rings. Just couldn't get them on.

I've just been curious how they feel. Probably like having your penis hugged all the time. Not a bad feeling actually.

Quite true. The lock opened with the key when I put the lock on, so I figured the lock would reopen when I wanted to remove it. Only it didn't. Not with any of the 3 keys in the set. Next time I will lock and unlock a lock with each key a dozen times before actually using it.

I bought a new small lock for 3 euros today. So not worth the aggravation of trying to contact a manufacturer that is probably in China.

Well, it might require a little judicious research, but I'd be looking for a kinky locksmith (preferable of the female variety) to help me out of my pre-DICK-ament!!

I don't think so. I put it down to shoddy Chinese crap most likely. Once I got the device slipped off - oh what mental relief - I found a few other chastity devices I'd bought previously which didn't fit, and tried their locks. All worked well, they locked and unlocked easily,

The locked one I finally did get open. Once it was off I didn't have to worry about cutting the lock, so I really fiddled around with the keys, pushing and turning, pulling and turning, using more force until it finally unlocked. I took it out of the chastity device with yet more feeling of relief.

Then I tried the keys on the lock again and it didn't work again. So I bought a new set at the hardware store and on writing I consider it a fluke. Just a bad lock. But it would happen on my first successful attempt to fit a chastity on myself.

I wonder if there is some kind of karma? Or warning? ... ha ha ha

@agracier, if you're the keyholder and your only concern is the cage staying on, you could use small zip ties or the plastic locks that come with the CB6000. That way you can cut them off with a pair of scissors at the end of your session. No need to call a lock smith or get out the tools if the real one doesn't open.
