TENS unit recommendation

After using various boxes for many years my ranging from generic TENS through Electrastim WM140 and Flick Duo and a 2B, I now have a couple of Sanitas EM44 TENS units which I can thoroughly recommend, especially as they were on sale in a UK discount supermarket for £25 a pop. They come with snap connector leads and the usual square pads which are not great and the pads hard to find, but the connector on the other end is the type of "coaxial" plug used on many TENS units and for example on the Electrastim power units. Replacement leads with 2mm plugs are therefore easy to get and cheap so most electrodes can be used as well as the standard 2-inch TENS pads with 2mm sockets.

The EM44 has 3 modes - TENS, EMS, and Massage - and all 3 have multiple programmes, up to 35 on Massage IIRC. Some of the modes can be modified in terms of frequency and pulse width, but the patterns are fixed. The output is rated up to 100v into 500ohms which is high for a TENS. For genital stim I find that TENS program 12 is excellent, feels very similar to the 2B "throb" mode. For enjoyable bipolar nipple stim TENS pgm 3 is very nice. If you like the sensation of being pricked hard - "tattooing" - the low frequency programs are very good. Altogether recommended - probably also the EM43.
