Thinking of starting back with cleansing enemas...

For those who've read my posts, you know that I had a bowel perforation, resection, colostomy, and finally a rejoin to the rectum.. The saga began in January of this year, with emergency surgery, the colostomy, then the reversal. I am not having problems with bowel movements, except that I sometimes have pretty unpleasant diarrhea,which produces inflammation.

The question is this: If YOU have had a similar situation, when were you able to return to doing enemas? How often do you do them? How much fluid do you take? I certainly want to stay well with no more bowel issues. If you don't know me, the original problem seems to have been caused by some infected diverticuli, which were removed with bowel resection. I have one diverticulum left, but the surgeon doesn't think I will have another problem. He didn't mention enemas, even though he's a colorectal surgeon. Anybody have thoughts?
