I've heard that some doctors who do circumcisions also do a quick cut of the meatus to open it up wider. Anyone else heard this?

I had a vasectomy. The doc started by manipulating my sperm tubes so they were at the front of the scrotum. He then injected some anaesthetic into the skin of the scrotum and made a tiny incision at the front. I didn't feel any of that. He then hooked each sperm tube out in turn and injected the tube with anaesthetic. I felt a small sting and a little pressure on the testicle as the fluid went in, but very minor. He then used some sort of heat device to cause a small lump in the tube and effectively block it, and then repeat with the other tube. I sat up at one point and he showed me one of the sperm tubes. Despite what some men think they don't stick the needle into the actual testicle, they don't need to because it is the sperm tube that is being blocked or cut they don't go anywhere near the testicles...

Well i had an a needles in my testicals so different places different methods my tubes were cut and cauterized i could see the smoke so there it is .

I have a v-shaped scar or the like at the lower underside of my penis of which I have no explanation. It could be a somewhat unusual shape of the raphe, but could also be from some procedure before schoolage.

Well if we're taking notes, in order of appearance and limited to surgical type procedures only (ie well woman exams & trans-vaginal ultrasounds excluded): Childbirth with perineal tear repair, tubal ligation, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, uterine ablation, multiple cystoscopies.

Perhaps surgeries and procedures undergone as an adult and with one's knowledge and consent are less likely to induce fetishes than surgeries and procedures undergone as a child or teenager, often without clear explanation and without consent.

I'd maybe narrow it down to mental traumas that didn't really have any lasting physical impact. Say like the baring of intimate parts of the body without getting any explanation, especially when young without much experience of how the world works.

But a trauma like being put in a cast for a broken arm resulting from fooling around dangerously as a child, probably less so. Such traumas have clear and easily identifiable causes and circumstances that are obvious why they require medical treatment.

I think it's more traumatic to be made, for instance, to have a rectal temperature taken by a nurse (as happened to @nurse_phillips) for no medical reason except that "it's the rules of the pediatric ward and if you make a fuss I'll send you for help", than to have one's clothing removed to access a wound, even in an intimate position, because then there is a clear reason.

@roscoe as you described when a congenital meatal stenosis is present a meatotomy may be required. The surgeon insert an hemostat in the meatus and crush the ventral tissues then cut the midline tissue with sharp streight scissors creating a ventral aperture finally sutures the eversion of the mucosa to fix the meatus open. This may be done during a circumcision but more often during a circumcision repair procedure in aquired meatal stenosis that are quite common when frenular sparing techniques are not used and the frenular artery went damaged.

I had a vasectomy in my early forties. The procedure was done by a male doctor with a female nurse assisting. I was lying on my back with clear view of the procedure. II remember that during my chilhood and teenhood there was a constant attention to if I peed and pooped right and to my general pelvic development. I probably had some corrective surgery in my urethra at age 4-5, buy they never told me.

I am not circumcized. I remember that after the event at age 14, the doctor said to my father that he did not find any problem, so that was probably a lenghty examination combind with some testing of pelvic functions.

I had to have surgery for testicular torsion on both testicles when I was 18. I got in the line of fire of a basket ball, ball.
