How safe is holding enema for 1.5h

I'm planning to do a 4 separate enemas

1 for cleaning out without holding and other 3 holding for about 30 minutes each in total 1h and 30 minutes. The solution will be isotonic 9g salt per 1l of water.

So about the question. Is it going to be safe for me to do it without pause between them. I'm around 50 kg (110 pounds)

Second question: I read in the forum that you are adding baking soda for easier retention. Should I add baking soda? What baking soda do and what are the side effects? How much per liter?

Your body weight can only ingest so much liquid at one time. What you’re suggesting is potentially harmful, no matter what you mix in the water. Don’t mess around with crazy ideas like this.

I agree with Vicki.....don't mess around with crazy ideas. Some of the things on zity I do not believe to be true.

So you are saying that it's dangerous to do 3 enemas in a row and hold each one for 30 minutes.

If I understand correctly, all enemas will be 1 liter of water plus 9 grams of salt.

1. Enema 1 will be immediately expelled and there will be no solution left in rectum/colon.

2. Enema 2 will be held for 30 minutes and then completely expelled before the next one.

3. Same as #2 for the next two enemas.

4. For a total elapsed time of about 2 hours.

5. No enema will be held longer than half an hour

Except for the salt, this should be safe. There is no guarantee an isotonic solution is truly isotonic for any individual, especially when repeatedly introducing the solution. Holding the salt solution will cause the body to actively seek a balance between what’s in the intestines and what is outside them. Basically, a series of saltwater enemas will act as a brine marinade and the recipient could easily experience adverse health reactions.

My advice, if sought, is to maybe use the solution for the first two enemas then use the second two for a thorough clean out to rid the colon of any excess salt. Even after a brine, the meat must be rinsed to get rid of the excess salt.

You have read the other posts, and I need to ask "why are you doing this to yourself?" If you are looking for a nice cleaning out there are other more sane ways to get that done. Sometimes I think that there are some people here who feel that they need to be as outlandish as possible. In a way it reminds me of a story that I heard many years ago that there were people who would dumpster dive looking for discarded meds from manufacturing plants and distribution centers. Then they would take them just to see what they would do. Nowadays these are to be disposed of by destruction.

I'm not sure about using salt which keeps you from absorbing the water, at least that's what I've been told. Holding plain water for 90 minutes in the quantity you mention isn't a big deal as you will absorb it and pee it out. Have you ever noticed you pee more after an enema? That's why.

They discussed the issues related to too little or too much salt in your solution. He also referenced a company that sells a premixed solution with a good ratio.

That is enough time to absorb more than a quart.

Too much water absorbed can lead to many different heart and kidney problems. Even complete failure in extreme cases. It just overloads the system.

I retain my enemas 15 minutes and no more!!
