I have many, but here's one to get things started:

Fever Ordeal

Ashley was new on campus and not yet registered at the health clinic. So

as she dialed for help late one evening, she didnt even know if they could

help her.

"Are you the nurse? " Ashley asked,

"Yes dear, what's the problem ?" the voice replied

"I am a new student and I think I have a high fever, I feel achy all over

and real hot."

"Have you taken your temperature?" asked the Nurse .

"No, I dont have a thermometer"Ashley advised.

"Why dont you come down and I'll see what I can do. Okay? "

And with that Ashley was on her way to the clinic, just a short walk from

her dorm room. The nurse led Ashley to Exam Room #3 upon arrival, and

advised her to undress. She sat motionless on the table, staring at the

stainless steel stirrups, freezing in her gown.

With a sharp knock on the door the nurse returned. She said because Ashley

was a new student she would need a complete physical. This scared Ashley

as she had never been examined like this before. She was hardly even

sexually active. First she had to give a urine specimen in front of the

nurse. Then her finger was pricked for a blood specimen. She was placed in

the stirrups and had her vagina checked by a gloved finger. Her rectum was

Nurse had retrieved a glass thermometer and was vigorously shaking it

stuffy, ears clogged , nauseous . She tried to move as little as possible

as she was one mass of pain.

"Sorry it really needs to be rectal", Nurse said in a low voice. She

turned to Ashley with a thermometer tightly clenched in one hand, a tube

of KY in the other.

"Okay, the key to this is to relax your bottom and allow the thermometer

to slide in, it'll only take five minutes and it will be over." The nurse

forced Ashley on her side. Ashley was feeling too sick to cooperate . The

RN checked Ashley for signs of delirium, as she did seem feverish and some

of her statements silly, as if she were hallucinating. The nursing of

delirium needs endless patience, tact, and understanding. Restraint should

be avoided if possible.

A tired, defeated Ashley lay motionless as Nurse slid her pink panties

before the nurse could read it, the slippery thermometer fell to the hard

floor. It was in a million pieces.

"Oh heavens, I'll get the janitor he's down the hall. Lets put you to bed

so you can rest. I can see you feel just awful you poor thing! You need

aspirin suppositories to bring your fever down-- then you'll get rid of

these aches and pains. You need lots of sleep. Be sure to drink plenty of

liquids or we will need to give you a rehydration IV.

Nurse helped Ashley up. Taking her by the hand she led her to an empty

room with several beds. Pulling back the covers on the bed, she went to

the supply cupboard.

" Ah, they're going to give me a sedative and let me sleep this flu away.

Heavenly!! " thought Ashley as she smiled inwardly.

In popped the nurse holding a thermometer and a jar of vaseline. With a

firm manner and determined look, the sympathetic nurse sat on the bed and

dipped the thermometer into the jar. "Alright now Ashley, I know you arent

feeling well and you'd like to get into this bed and get some Z's, but

first, I need to finish examining you. Lie across my lap. Remove your

I had a hard time falling to sleep.Visions of what I had seen flooded my mind. When I finally drifted off, I dreamed that I was sick and had to go to the doctor. My regular doctor was on vacation and my mother

argued with my mother that I was too old for a "baby doctor". My mother told me to stop whining and that the doctor did it as a favor and that I should appreciate it. I was ordered to take a bath and get "squeaky

clean" for the doctor. I was in a foul mood and my mother was losing patience with me.

We drove to the doctors office in silence. "Hi, I'm Louise Martin and this is my daughter, Donna," my mother said to the receptionist. "Oh,yes- the doctor will be with you shortly" she replied, and told us to have a seat in the waiting room. The room was full of little kids with their

mothers and I felt out of place at 18 years of age.

The dream went on. My name was called and I got up to go with the nurse into the exam room. The nurse asked my mother to come as well and I almost lost it. My

mother was embarrassed and glared at me and told me to stop acting like a child.

"Young lady, all patients are accompanied my a parent in this office- the doctor insists," the nurse explained. We went inside the sterile, white exam room. "Donna, please undress and I will take your

vitals before the doctor examines you," the nurse ordered. I pouted, but complied. I had to undress with my mother in the room with me- I was so embarrassed. Things soon went from bad to worse in my dream.

I folded my clothes and put them in a pile on the bench.The nurse opened a draw and took out a black thermometer case.She unscrewed the top and pulled it out. After shaking it down with hard snaps of her wrist, she put it on a paper towel and put a dollop of lubricant on the bulb. "I'm 18, there is no way you're taking my temperature RECTALLY!" I shouted. My mother turned red-faced.The nurse kept her cool.

"Donna,we take all temperatures rectally. It is a pediatricians office and we don't have oral thermometers. You're here my special arrangement-so just cooperate. Lay face down on the exam table and lets get this over with," the nurse explained. When I did not move, the nurse walked over to my mother and whispered something into her ear that I could not make out. My mother smiled and gave her consent to whatever the nurse proposed.

The dream was so vivid it felt like this was actually happening.

"Since you don't want to do things the easy way-we will have to do it the hard way," the nurse explained and I felt a chill go down my spine. She grabbed my arm and walked me over to a chair. The nurse sat down in it and pulled me over her lap, with my bottom hiked up and my feet off of the floor. I yelled and kicked my legs.Then I felt it.The first spank sounded like the crack of a whip and stung my bottom. I cried out as the nurse swatted one "cheek" and then the other.
