Question about Enemeez

I've got the Enemeez that just has the docusate sodium, polyethylene glycol, and glycerin. No Lidocaine. Wondering how long I should expect see results from one dose? Like I know that it produces a BM within 2-15 minutes, but will it stop working after? The effects of other suppositories can last over a few BM's and hours for me and as these are more powerful than others I've tried I don't want to underestimate it.

I would describe Enemeez as a fast acting short duration product. I feel it works well when your rectume and the lower protion of your large intestine is full. In a very short time you will be forced to empty them out. It does not cause a full clean out of your system mainly because it acts so fast that is does not get a chance to travel very far up your colon. Also the volume that Enemeez has is very small and precludes much travel up stream.

If you are badly constipated you might want to use a slow acting laxative to prime the system and then use Enemeez to pull the plug. It has a kind of push pull effect that creates a very large and forceful bowel movement. (be careful as your will be pushing really hard) The Enemeez allows you to kind of control when the final results will occur. Kind of cutting the wrong wire on a bomb and the timer starts a 5 min counting down. With the slow acting laxative you know it is going to blow but you are not sure if it is going to be first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon. With Enemeez you just start the timer and it is going to blow big time in less than 15 min.

Enemeez without the anesthetic can be painful around the butt, leading to a time of very intense feelings of "gotta push" after you're already pretty much done. Can work once or twice more, loose stool, but usually won't be nearly as urgent.
