Never from the beginning and through the entire exam. I've often ended up with my underwear off or lowered, which isn't unusual as far as I've heard.

I was totally nude in front of my father at a pediatrician exam when my parents thought I had a hernia freshman year of high school. So they rushed me to the doctor in the evening, and the doctor stayed late. He brought me and my dad back himself and told me to undress. As I took my pants off he said better take those off too, referring to my righty whites, because it would make it easier. So I laid on the table completely naked as my father watched on and the doctor gave me the most thorough genital exam of my life. To make matters worse I didn’t fit in the table anymore and had to bend my legs which were newly hairy. I was just so embarrassed my father was watching me like this.

What symptoms did you have that might suggest a hernia? It doesn't seem common to have to go to the doctor urgently for that.

@Woyzeck i had severe one sided abdominal pain after carrying a lot of heavy musical equipment up several flights of stairs and my parents were hypochondriacs and alarmists and would rush us to the doctor for anything. One time when I was home from college and stayed in bed for two days they rushed me to the er at 1am because they thought I had a neurological problem. What I was was depressed.
