How long of a 'Colon Snake' can a person really take?

How long of a colon snake can a person really take? I've been looking online at them & see some that are 6½' long! Is it really possible to get that much of one inside of you?

I just keep picturing a tube pushed in the anus & sticking out the mouth! 🤣

NIH article states the colon is about 5 feet in length.

I have a 5 feet = 1.5 m colon tube but I can only put 6 inch = 15 cm without doing loops

Some videos show a one meter snake insertion - not sure how much more one could get in. Search for long colon snake insertions. Hot Kinky Jo has some long as well as large ones.

This is where the sigmoid kink begins. Overcoming this hurdle requires some patience, practice and mindfulness.

We do it like this:

Apply plenty of lubricant to the anus, penetrating deeply with your fingers and making it lubricated; apply lubricant to the first 15 to 20 cm of the intestinal tube, insert the intestinal tube slowly turning, after about 15 to 18 cm you will feel the first resistance.

Pull back the rectal tube a little, start the enema slowly, slowly inserting the tube with back and forth movements. This usually succeeds at the very moment when the liquid runs from the rectum into the large intestine.

The tube can then be lowered further into the depths of the colon.

It works similarly with colon snakes, only that no enema liquid is used here. We use a small syringe to inject about 30 to 50 ml of lubricant into the rectum beforehand. And then the game begins. So far it has always worked...

I have had the best luck with larger tubes with thick walls made of soft rubber or silicone. Tubes in the 13mm/ 1/2" range with 4mm walls, or even my "biggie" - a 16mm/ 5/8" tube with again about 4mm walls. Those are mostly soft enough to track with the colon, but stiff enough to where you can get them in without them folding up in the rectum. With the big one I do have trouble turning the corner into the descending colon about half the time, but you can really feel that one as it slides up.

One thing I would like to see is a "how to" video with a talk through of how to use a colon tube by an expert, discussing tips for negotiating those corners. Counterpressure frequently works, but there are some times when it's just really hard to get the tube around a bend.

With lots of time and patience, I can take a bit more than 5', possibly a bit more, but mine is about five and a half feet long and I need a few inches left out to hold on to and attach the enema supply. The technique I use is to insert the tube a few inches at a time, and when I feel any resistance, pull it back a bit and pump a cup or so of water in. That will straighten out the tube, dilate the colon and enable the insertion of another six to eight inches. Once the tube is past the splenic flexure, going across the transverse colon is easy going. The same techinque works at the hepatic flexure, and another six inches gets to the bottom of the cecum. Then the real fun begins!

That's true about the counter pressure.

My mother had a friend who lived a few doors down and worked as a nurse in a hospital. She advised my mother and gave her a lot of advice over time. When I was about 8 or 9 years old, she brought an enameled irrigation and a rubber pouch. plus a long red rubber enema tube. She told my mom it would make high enemas that would do her job better.

Mom called me into the bathroom, where a full bag of soapy water was waiting for her friend's colonic feeding. After inserting it a little, I should press hard, as if constipated. She turned the tube to the right and left, also a little back and forth and with a jerk the sigmoid was passed, clamp open and with the SSE in it. My mother was allowed to try to administer such an enema; A second SSE followed, then two large clear water inlets for rinsing. Mom had a gift of inserting colon tubes deep into me with no problem.

Finally, she advised my mom that one could also use it to successfully administer large enemas that would have an effect. I hated this woman...

A few years ago I had a 30 inch and a 60 inch silicone colon tubes. I could take the 30 inch pretty easily. I used the 60 inch quite a few times and was able to get in all the way. It took some time with numerous stops, a few squirts and then continue. I was able to feel it moving with my hand on my stomach. I've moved since then and misplaced both of them. They were both a lot of fun...

Assuming that it's just the colon snake referenced then 42" or 3 foot 6" approx is about the safest length Ive seen fully inserted ... which logically a longer Colon Tube or Rectal tube is employed beforehand to allow such lengths.
