Since many days I had been feeling full. Less appetite and nauseated whole day. And day before, I threw up. So I thought it was a good idea to see the doctor.
At the appointment I told the doctor what I was feeling. He asked me to lie down for the exam. I just raised my top till just above my navel. Because that's where he generally examines. But this time he asked me to raise top fully, till my bra. I was ok with it. And anyways there is always a female nurse with the doctor. And moreover the nausea was more bothering.
This time he was palpating the tummy in a different way. Atleast that's what I felt. Like more on the upper sides than the lower.
I had my hands relaxed on the side next to me, with my palms casually facing up. He saw my hands and asked, since when they are like this, pointing out to the peeling skin. I was like it has been a week. I casually said.
He then suddenly started asking about my eyes, even checked and also checked my tongue
He asked if I have such skin allergy somewhere else or noticed any hair loss issues
He then rang a bell and another female nurse came in. I don't know why.
He then asked me to cover my tummy and pull down my jeans and the panty. This shocked me a little. Because till now the max he has asked me was to loosen pants and he would press over my panty. And yesterday he suddenly asked me to pull my panty.
I was slightly hesitant when I saw the new nurse and the doctor were wearing gloves
When I asked what happened the doctor assured that he just needed to quickly have a look down there. Just a quick external check.
The intimate exposure was just for 30 seconds I guess. Just parted outer labia very briefly after having a look
It was the first time a male looked at me down there. But I trust the doctor and it was quick so it was easy. But I felt embarrassed that I had not trimmed down there. I do it twice a month, so there was some growth already.
When he said it was fine and I can cover up, I was relieved.
He said it's nutritional deficiency and has given medicine for the same
(Agreed. I have not been eating well since quite sometime. Stressed too much. I mean my periods have been messed up, so I know I had been stressed.)
He was like if things don't get better then we will have to go for tummy ultrasound
Weird appointment . I never thought I would have to pull down my panty during a gastro appointment.
Has anyone else also experienced something unexpected in gastro appointment?
