@SarahBlues I love it when people have nothing constructive to say they exert to insults - Trust me I am not a pervert any more than you or anyone else on this site . I am just having a conversation, if you can keep up with it and offer an intelligent input then just do it, insulting me is easy …
Having a nurse in the room during a gynecological exam is not a Legal Requirement specifically for male gynecologists or female gynecologists.
However, it is a common practice that is recommended by medical associations and healthcare providers to ensure the safety and comfort of patients during such exams.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends that healthcare providers offer chaperones to patients during sensitive exams, including gynecological exams, regardless of the gender of the provider. The chaperone can be a nurse or another healthcare professional who is present in the room to provide support and ensure that the exam is conducted appropriately and professionally.
While having a chaperone in the room is not Legally Required, it is considered a best practice and can help patients feel more comfortable and secure during a vulnerable and intimate exam.
Male doctors are just more prone to abuse vs female doctors, therefore a female doctor can get away with not having a nurse present but a male doctor would most likely not dare to perform an exam without a nurse present.
