What is the longest retention time anyone had held an enema?

1 hour and half with 4.5 L plain cold water enema.

After 20 mn the water was warm in my bowels.

Probably about 30 minutes for a coffee enema several times. I did have one barium enema that seemed like it lasted quite a bit longer than other ones that I've had.

When I used to do coffee enemas I would set a timer for 30 minutes. It was always difficult for to hold that long. For my normal enemas usually 5 to 10 minutes.

I have held flaxseed enemas overnight and all or almost all of the enema was absorbed by morning. Both my girlfriend and I have retained enemas during sex. We love the full feelings.

Holding an enema and having sexual intercourse is something my wife and I did occasionally. Sometimes, I held the enema, and other times she’d hold the enema. Then, every once in a while, we’d both hold an enema and have intercourse. The added pressure from the enemas on my wife’s vagina helped her have stronger more consistent orgasms. The downside was having to be careful during thrusting, but that in itself had a plus. It slowed us down, causing us to lasted longer.

However, when sexual intercourse wasn’t involved, my wife and I usually held an enema for ten or fifteen minutes. Going as long as thirty minutes when we used enemas during foreplay.

For soapy enemas, I typically hold about 5 minutes. For coffee enemas, it’s usually 20-30 minutes, but that’s with the assistance of an inflatable plug.

Depends if I’m using a double balloon nozzle and who is controlling it

I took 1.5L, with the aid of an inflated balloon catheter inserted past the sigmoid, and held it for an hour, earlier this week. I might try longer, but 1L as retaining 1.5L wanted to leak. I guess wearing a diaper might be a good idea for next time.

As maybe someone else has already stated, my longest retention time was not something that I've anticipated at all. The enema was a little over a liter, one of my first tries with baking soda, but minutes after finished my enema, the doorbell rang. Trying not to make a disaster, I fumbled across my pants and answered (it was a packet from the courier). After that, for reasons I don't remember, I actually somewhat forgot I had an enema and started doing other things (maybe the urgency was gone or I didn't felt anything more in my belly), but it wasn't until I reached back into my bedroom that I saw the enema bag and realized. I think at that point 45 minutes were passed when I decided to go to the bathroom on my own😅

@bigRedBulbs98 - I can identify with your comment about being distracted while holding an enema. Normally, when I do a coffee retention enema I get a round of urges to expel at about five minutes which I can usually hold. The next round is typically at about fifteen to twenty minutes, and I usually let it out then. But if I don’t, the next round is less strong than the previous, and then almost goes away. My longest hold of ninety minutes occurred while I was reading what’s new here on Zity while I was holding a quart of coffee. I simply lost track of time since the urge went away, and by then I had to literally push it out. But only a little came out and then I had to pee about every hour the rest of the day

Maybe because the enema was only 1 L. You probably wouldn't be able to forget with 2-3 L 😝
