Any patients have to be escorted into the exam room

Have any of you ever had to be escorted into the exam room because you could not go willingly on your own? I once observed this happen to a patient who appeared to be in her late teens. Her mom and a couple of nurses took her as she fought them every step of the way. She put up quite a fight but eventually they were successful in getting her into the room. Unfortunately, I was placed in a room far away from the incident.

Having “been placed in a room far away from the incident” I assume it wasn't at the gynecologists office.

The only time had to escort into exam room is when my needle phobic daughter knew there were vaccinations that day. We didn't lie if she asked because wouldn't trust us she knew.

Thankfully it was an age where small enough could just pick up and carry in.

No, but I've thought about having an escort sent to my room.

I'm a man. This is a little rant, not erotic. About 3 weeks ago I had a tender and swollen testicle. I wanted to see a urologist but made an appointment a nurse practitioner because there was a 4 month wait for the urologist, unless I wanted to drive an hour away. Now I don't make doctor visits often because of this very inconvenience, so every time i do, the culture and procedures change. The urology office in my town was swallowed up by a major med conglomerate, and the nurse practitioner, a woman, was very knowledgeable and we had a good talk. She then said, do you mind if I look at it. I said, I figured that you would want to see it. I thought to myself, have things gotten that squeamish that a urology nurse would avoid looking at the problem she is trying to diagnose. Then she asked if I would like a chaperone. The question seemed so strange I asked her what she meant. She said have some in the room during the exam. I laughed and said that shouldn't be necessary. I was thinking, are you uncomfortable? Aren't you a medical professional and shouldn't you be well knowledgeable about human anatomy? Should I be uncomfortable? Are men that immature in this office? So I dropped my pants and underwear and lifted my shirt, maybe excessively to make a point, like do your job. She started laughing and then did the exam.
