What did your parents call your penis?

My parents referred to it as a ‘bird’. Even when explaining the facts of life. Ridiculous.

My parents and grandma used a childish word pisya which is best translated as peepee. And my bottom and anal area were called popka or popochka which also sounded very childish. Even when I was in puberty grandma would remind me not to forget to wash them while bathing using that childish terminology.

Private parts or “johnson”. I typically use “dick” in text or convo now, not like that happens frequently in polite company.

I've often wondered who in the world thought up using Johnson. Why not Thompson? It sounds like a particular Mr. Johnson was, once upon a time long ago, targeted for being a real dick and the word apparently stuck.

My mother always referred to it as my willy.

Babies and toddlers penis are called nunu or nunku …. At pre teens or teens it's chunku.

If you work on a railroad you know what a Johnson Bar is.

If you work on a railroad you know what a Johnson Bar is.

How about if I told you I have never worked on a railroad? Not all the livelong day, not to pass the time away, not ever … ha ha.

So, what is a Johnson's bar?

The bar to her left on the floor is the Johnson. It is in reverse when back and forward is forward. Many RRs call it the reverser now due to the other meaning. It controls the steam through the cylinders. Near the center in either direction is like high gear and and all the way in either direction is low or “notched down”. The top lever is the throttle and the smaller handles are the brakes.

That's an oil fired boiler and her father is in the firemans/conductors seat. It doesn't say how long she's had her license but he sure looks proud.

My folks seemed to call the whole thing “balls”.

8n Bulgarian the word my parents used is "pishka". Literally means "the thing you pee with". Never used the term "penis".

My penis was named something like in english is " cockerel " (a young rooster) . Till my first hair started to grow up down there, this was the "official" term used by my mom or other relatives...

My mother typically called it my penis. Occasionally she'd jokingly use something like "peeper" or "peepee" if I was nude. She often saw me naked through my teens and my small size was a common topic for discussion.

@chestinut

Good thing they didn't put 'wee' in front of 'willy winky'!

Both of my parents referred to it as a penis. My dad told me not to play with it. My mom told me that if I touched it I had to wash my hands as it was dirty.

Mom always called it my 'Tinkler'. As I got older, she dropped calling it anything altogether.

Both parents called it a penis. Though I do recall my Dad referring to it once as my ‘manhood’ when we were showering together… as in, make sure you soap up your manhood. At the time I had just begun to develop pubic hair so maybe it was an attempt to recognize I wasn’t a little kid anymore.

My mother used to call it my "Little man" when I was a kid. Unfortunately it never seemed to grow out of it's name. Oh well, it has served me well for 81 years. 😃
