What is a good starting point for introducing a partner to medfet?

Wife isn't a med fet person but is willing to explore. What do you guys think is a good way to start ? What about starting with getting a speculum ?

Some angles to approach this:

-Share the med fet parts that turn you on the most (and are digestible for an “outsider”) and see how she reacts or if you have already done it, think back to how she reacted. Prefer things she looked more intrigued with.

-Look for bridges between what she likes and what you like in med fet. If she likes you stimulating her anus, rectal temp taking might be a good bridge for example. If she likes gentle touches, maybe auscultation is a good starting point.

Some auxiliary ideas:

-Make it clear she can stop at any point without you being thrown off about it

-You can soften up more hardcore things at first. For example if you like giving injections but she's not comfortable with you actually stabbing her yet, you can just draw up the syringe, enjoy all the scariness that comes with it and then just pinch her butt with your fingers instead of piercing it with the needle.

I'd say that starting with a speculum is not suitable as a way to start. I think that many women consider it to be a demeaning and invasive instrument with too many connotations to embarrassing exams they have had to undergo. For instance in the media where I live, journalists just simply love to describe sexual imagery that they strongly disapprove of as being ‘gynecological in detail’, which is just another way of saying depraved and perverted.

So, I would not start with a speculum. That might eventually be an end point, not a place to start.

I might suggest initially dressing up as doctor or nurse and then some stethoscoping or palpating the ‘tummy-ache’. A slow and steady approach might well win the medfet race.

I’d start with a stethoscope exam and ENT. You can make the stethoscope sexy for her by caressing her skin more than necessary while moving the instrument across her chest and back. Don’t forget to listen to bowel sounds on her belly, have her lay back flat for that.

I fully agree with that. Using a speculum has never even crossed my mind to be the first thing I would use to introduce someone to medfet. It's too much. And also think about it this way: Even if she would actually enjoy it as the very first thing, then she will also enjoy it if you bring it up later. So there's simply no reason to take this risk.

If one is just starting out in medfet with their partner - which I kinda sense in the OPs post. and even if you work in the medical field, one may not know how to properly use a speculum and could sour the whole scene if done clumsily or improperly. Going slow, getting some training (on-line, help from experienced members…..) would be prudent.

For those experienced docs, starting out slow seems like the best approach to introduce a newbie. Give both of you something(s) to look forward to!!!
