Sex toys as we get older

Do any of you have a plan to get rid of any heretofore “closeted” fun stuff as you get older? I am 75 with some health issues, so this has been on my mind a lot lately.

If you're not using them any more, throw them out. Otherwise keep ‘em until you’re done with 'em.

Your not alone. I just threw out my porn cd's. But I am holding on to my other toys until I can not use them anymore!!

I have a deal with my neighbor (female). If anything were to happen to either one of us, we have explained where we keep our sex toys and enema gear and to retrieve it before anyone else finds it.

I go through periodic purges usually driven by post-orgasm remorse. Sad to think about the things I have let go… A lot of silicone. A lot of CBT stuff. Gadgets, electronics, latex… geez.

@Miss_Sarah Funny……I've got that deal too. I think if members of my family were the first in…..they would likely have a heart attack with what I have stored away.

I hope I have a few more decades, but the thought crosses my mind. My wife knows about my stash and is not crazy about it, but if I go first, she’ll dispose of it. If we both go together in a car or plane crash or a fire, then it will be one of my siblings, nieces or nephews or in laws who find them. I sometimes amuse myself trying to imagine how each would react. I too have had post orgasm remorse and thrown out things and then regretted it. Some were real gems and I would love to have them back.

I don’t plan on getting rid of anything unless it’s broke or something !! So wife knows what to keep for herself and what to get rid of !!

This topic may be the subject of jokes, but, in fact, it is a problem at any age, when you think about a sudden end and what others might find. I have never married because I have always wanted to maintain the widest freedom and I have always dedicated myself to having relatively short and intense relationships (I always tell myself that I like to have adventitious labor, as in the grape harvest period) and in this , I have been lucky to be particularly well-liked by the female world, however I often ask myself this question, especially for the whole collection of erotic books, of female nude photography books, of all the photos I have taken (but many have been published on books and exhibitions all over the world, so this part is free of worries) and all the erotic material for the various games.

We are used to doing differentiated garbage disposal, but there is no collection of sex play material.

It would take a parliamentary question to determine where to put the games or if there was a possible recycling in order not to pollute?

I have been slowly divesting things, both kink and vanilla, for several years (tools excepted). Aside from some enema items that I sold here, my no longer needed kink related items have been donated to charity auctions at kink conventions. As for the gigs of porno, I posted what I considered worthy of preserving (possibly more to follow once I review the other amateur folders) the rest will vanish when the time comes. I have few “sex toys” in the bottom drawer of the nightstand, they can go anytime.

I often ask myself this question, especially for the whole collection of erotic books, of female nude photography books, of all the photos I have taken (but many have been published on books and exhibitions all over the world, so this part is free of worries) and all the erotic material for the various games.

There are dealers and shops dealing in all kinds of secondhand materials. Erotic materials are in high demand, not by all, but many will be able to refer you to those who do buy and accept erotic material.

Please, please, please do not destroy your erotic collections, especially of books, magazines, drawings, photos and especially of very personalized creations like diaries, journals, sketch books or such. There are collectors who really pay substantial sums for such material, no judgements made and who cherish and keep such material in good care.

You can find some of these dealers/collectors on the web. I also know of some located in Brussels and Paris (with shops) and undoubtedly there must be some in larger cities like Rome as well. It is difficult to find true erotic material nowadays since many astute people with a nose for business have figured out that such material often makes for good publishable books. Nothing better than to come upon an anonymous collection of private photos or drawings of an intimate nature from some 40 or 50 years ago.

Recently I know of a series of photos from the 1930s of the Parisian art student's annual ball and parade (Bal des Quartz'Arts where many students dressed up or went nude) was sold for some thousands of euros. Out of my league unfortunately. I surmise they will be used in an upcoming book publication some time soon.

And if you cannot find any dealer interested in buying, one can always donate interesting collections to for instance a Kinsey Institute or similar institutions. These at least keep and preserve material for posterity.

No plan. Just a big surprise for our kids, who may have already did some snooping. They can do with our toys and tools what they like. Our daughter's partner has a gas mask fetish so he'll maybe find a couple treasures.

I owned an Erostek 312B for many years which I did not get to use as often as I would have liked when I purchased it. I collected several electrode attachments for it and even made some of my own. I really enjoyed using it but my expectations from the device were never really met after purchase and trying to come up with the perfect electrode devices. After a session with a local Domme in her commercial dungeon, I asked if she might be interested in it and if she would be willing to barter a session for it. I have many toys and at 69 I am not planning to shuffle off this planet just yet, however, you never know. All my toys are kept squirrelled away on various bags which is easy for me to pick when I am out and about meeting friends. I have arranged with one of my close friends that if anything happens he will collect my bags and use them for his own enjoyment.

Most of my former “toys,” were lost over time. The 2 that I really miss, are the anal beads, and the female love doll torso, that had a flesh like anus and vagina. I’m 67, and I also have some health issues.

Personally, we don't care either. Firstly, we use our toys as long as we can, and secondly, we give those who will one day empty our house enough to talk about...😎😇

@MissStress Liked your post….and that is so true. I am sure my kids have snooped as we do not have things very well hidden. Open the right drawer and the education begins. I'm not to sure what makes my daughter tick….but I sense she is edgy. There are lots of options for experimentation.
