Feeling of cloth gowns

I've only worn an exam gown twice. Once as a teenager and it was thin cloth and a month ago for an upper GI, thick cloth. I prefer to thin ones.

A few weeks ago I had a colonoscopy.

I first had to go to my hospital room where a nurse immediately came and asked me to put on a cotton gown.

She gave me complete privacy as she left the room.

However, as soon as you put on that gown you immediately feel like a real patient, knowing that you now have to obey the nurses.

After 5 minutes she came back in. She looked at me strangely. Haha, it turned out that I had put the gown on the other way around.

She asked me to put the gown back on better. She did not leave the room, but turned around. So at that moment she didn't see me naked yet.

And soon her colleague also came into the room....

Interesting, all through my life, doctors used cloth gowns. They might have some patterns like you see on pajamas, or plain white/scrubs blue.

I prefer the feeling of cloth gowns and I also like that they're more environmentally friendly. I imagine some people don't like the idea of wearing something someone else has had on, but every gown I've ever worn has seemed perfectly clean. It's no different from using a cloth napkin in a fine dining restaurant, in my opinion.
