Higginson and the bathroom sink

I've discovered that a Higginson works really well standing at the bathroom sink, with the sucking end of the hose submerged in hot soapy water. I don't expect a full cleanse that way, but for a simple rectal flush, it works wonders. I prefer it to a bulb, because there's far less chance of a mess. Just leave the nozzle inserted until you're full as you can get without leaking and SKWEEEZZE…

Love a higgy snd can easily be used for a high enema or colonic. When combined with a guy squeezing the bulb and givin u oral it is exquisite

From what I remember, this was a common way for mums in the 1940s and 1950s to give their offspring ‘a little help’ to go to the loo.

This is a "scathingly brilliant idea" I am going to bring it up surreptitiously(?) to ‘Daddy’.

When I want a “pulsed” enema I use a new fuel primer bulb as the available Higginsons have terrible flow, and many have the one way valves pushed into ends of the bulb where I've had them pop out resulting in messes. I fill my 2 qt combo with a silicone hose and connect the Higginson to the hose laying the bag on the bed. The output has a silicone hose with a nozzle. Makes for easy fills without risk of a hose falling out of a sink or bowl.

I hated the Higginson that mom and grandma tried to give me enemas with! I didnt like water being squirted up my butt and fought against any attempt to give me an enema that way! I did like bag enemas because they weren’t forcefull.One time while snooping in parents bedroom i found the Higginson hidden in a closet i put it in my trash can,took it out to the alley and put it in my neighbors garbage can that night so if mom started looking she wouldnt find it in our garbage can.Trash collectors came the next morning so it was history.Mom never mentioned anything about it!

Walmart sells an in-line hand pump in the camping gear area.A little stiff, but gives a good pulse for an enema.

They work wonderfully when placed in-line with a bag or enema can especially when hanging your reservoir at the proper height is a problem. I recently bought a new blue rubber bulb (about 4 oz) Higginson on line at E-Bay. I replaced the tubing and purchased new valves from Optimal Health Network which I have used for many years in other bulbs and as backflow preventers. This bulb is comfortable to use (squeeze), the valves allow a smooth flow of solution which can be accelerated as desired, and it's all medical grade.

As was pointed out, a higginson syringe can be very handy when a place to hang an enema bag or can is impractical. The inline setup can provide the enema flow from any viable source of solution.

I use mine with the water bottle or combination syringe setup. I can set the full bag on any surface and pump away as needed or desired.

Just did two soapy (baby shampoo) quarts at the bathroom sink with my inline pump. I started by inserting 3 glycerin suppositories then my Delrin plug nozzle. It’s been a while😜😍and it felt really good.
