@Another_Canadian_Guy,
In your first post about your 4+ quart JBL enema, you mentioned you laid on your bed afterward and the pain stopped just before you think the water entered your small bowel. I’m glad you seem to be okay now, but had you taken a 4 quart or more enema before this incident by JBL or regular bag and hose? Did it cause pain? Why were you taking enough JBL enema to cause you pain? Thank you,
Eric
I have taken multiple (at least a dozen) 4 litre enemas in the past.
What had happened was I was taking multiple enemas, and I must not have emptied out completely from the previous one. I just felt super confident about taking the rest of the bag and wanted to see if I could do it, and I think I took most but decided to lay down. It wasn't very painful, the usual cramps, but nothing sharp. It was about 5-10 minutes after laying down that it emptied out into my small intestine, because the pressure went gone and there was no more cramping.
As for why, I absolutely love the big belly look I get from large enemas, and I figured I could handle it this time around.
He said he thinks he took “ 4 -4.5 liters ” that's like 2-2.5 qts + 4 - 5 oz, even if the bag is 4 qts, so seems it was a standard size infusion at the point of his experience. But maybe he had more in him than he realized, but either way, l don't think anything over 2 quarts, ( maybe 3 max once in a while is okay ) is a good idea, isn't it, the over stretching of the intestines that could lead to the pockets / pouches of diverticulosis ?
My understanding was that on this forum there was medical text that said most people can hold at least 4, some up to 5 and maybe a bit extra. I cannot verify the source of course but my understanding is if the standard bag is built to hold 4 litres then it should be able to be taken all in one go, right?
(Of course there was some still left in me so this doesn't apply, I just mean a one and done enema).
