IKEA Kallax Bed idea

I have recently learnt about the IKEA Kallax Bed hack. The idea here is to use the shelving units to form the base of a bed with plenty of storage underneath.if you haven't seen this a quick Google search will show some nice examples. My wife and I have recently done this using units that are 2 cubes high.

So why am I mentioning this? Well for a king-size bed the space beneath is about the size of a single bed and about 75cm high. With a bit of imagination this space can have uses for different dynamics.

A slaves bed below their master, a little play space, add a wire door on the front and you have a large pet crate. Add anchor points to secure someone in different positions out of the way.

The space underneath has 4 cubes only accessible under the bed. Add a wooden door with lock and boards to the backs of the units and it's just a storage space for the items you dont want found.

We've only has the set up for a few days so we are still working out the possibilities.

I am a naturally messy person. Not dirty, just a guy who leaves things the last place he used them. But, I also hate messes and clutter, so I keep things pretty well organized. I have everything I need and a lot I don't need, so I've devised a system that obviates a need or desire for more storage - Except for consumables (food, personal items, cleaning supplies, etc.) when I buy something, something else is removed. New shirt? An older shirt goes in the rag bin or is donated to charity. New fry pan? The old one goes in the trash (most things don't get replaced until they are no longer useful to anyone. Well, you get the idea. Sort of like January first - we bring a new year into our homes and kick the old one out.

However, if I were to legally obtain a slave, I suppose I'd have to find a place to safely store it, so a kallax shelf unit might be useful. If I didn't build something similar to my own specifications.
