Before you knew Zity did you use to think you were the only one to have MedFet? Have you ever known people being into MedFet you didn't figure it it before?

As a kid (in the 90s) I thought I was weird. Being formerly Catholic, it scared me. I supressed it by being an “overachiever.” at school and after school activities. I needed to make up for having this huge “sin” be part of me. Then the internet became more of a thing. I waited until I was 18 to look up actual videos (porn websites asked, “are you 18” and I had to say no because I wasn't. I was really naive!) I read stories sometimes though. Then came to the realization that I wasn't alone because people were writing medfet stories and producing content. Then I felt guilty about watching porn, but I didn't feel like I was alone having a medical fetish (really, just stethoscope and breast exam)

In real life, I'm very guarded about this, but I really enjoy having this website so I can work through these feelings.

The first site for me that discovered that I was not the only one who was interested in this was HBP and some social networks. There I found out that there are other people with the same fetish. But in general, emotions can only be shared here. I do not know any other places.

What a great question. The answer is yes, I felt quite alone, and was disturbed by what I thought was my perverse interest in rectal temps and shots in the bottom and especially my fantasies about these things happening to girls. I remember one particular fantasy I had in high school (and I went to a parochial school), that I would have some kind of database with the date on which every girl in my grade last had her temperature taken rectally or received a shot in her bottom, and that somehow I could travel back in time and watch it happen. Then, a few days after I graduated college, in the wild west years of the Internet, I suddenly, without much forethought, typed the words “rectal temperature” into one of the search engines that existed at the time (probably Netscape) and was amazed by what I found. I was flabbergasted that there were other people beyond myself who had such fetishes. Sadly, I've never actually met someone with these passions. Who knows? Perhaps someone in my peer group shares them, and I'll just never know.

Great question. I've had a medical fetish since I was 16 or 17, when first learned details of gyn exams. I figured there were more like me, but that it was rare. About 2 weeks later, Dr. Paul Nash had his first patient scheduled for a physical exam and while I was nervous - I was also excited (and elated) that someone wanted to have the kind of physical I have been longing to give. I NEVER looked back - and I wish I could have told young Paul, so many years ago, that MedFet isn't something to feel horrible about and it certainly isn't something that marks you as “mentally ill.” I am eternally grateful to my therapist for saving my life and I well remember the day I told her I didn't feel “sick” anymore. You certainly had a fine therapist who didn't go down the ‘problematic’ road about your affinities for medfet.

I remember reading some academic papers by Dr. Joanne (?) Denko on the use of enemas, she being among the first to academically delve into that area. She made it all sound so burdening an affliction, such a problematic and socially debilitating preference. She was also somewhat dramatic about it all, using terms like the ‘enema cult’ as if liking enemas and the like were some sort of vast world-wide conspiracy.

But I never really know that medfet was broader than that until I found Zity. I was aware of my medfet for many years before I joined Zity.
