Maximum Absorbency Diapers

I get it. The convenience of not having to change during the day/night. Or the babyish feeling a fully wet diaper provides (or a full one, for that matter).

What I don't like about them is that, long before they are full, the darn things begin to droop uncontrollably. And when they droop, they leak no matter how good the leak guards are.

Think about it. Megamax's claim a 49 ounce capacity. That is more than three pounds stretching the fasteners and plastic (fibers if is is a fabric diaper), and that's a lot. If stuffers/booster pads are used, the extra weight increases the droop. When wearing a crotch-snap body leotard or adjustable protective pants over the diaper that reduce droop, they leak.

Yeah, I like 'em, but, boy, can they be frustrating if used more than half capacity. 😕

I'm incontinent and wearing diapers 24/7. My experience with all the different types, sizes and capacity, all of them has droop to some degree. There are basically four sizes of adult diapers for most brands.. Today's disposable diapers are made in a wider range of waist size for each size.. I wished they had more sizes. I'm using the Northshore Megamax diapers and they are very high in quality and capacity. I can and do use the small size if I can change at a reasonable place and want a more discreet look. Most of the time I'm wearing a medium with a booster for nearly 12 hours with normal fluid intake. Yes they do get heavy and droop a little. However they swell as they get wetter which helps the fit and drooping. I don't have many diaper leaks, but when I normally do it's because the diaper needs changed. Disposable diapers are basically universal ( one size fits most ) for either sex, and size range.

Along with losing control of my legs I lost control of my bladder. Found that the one's I get from North Shore, I only have to change twice a day, 5am and 11pm. but I do have to watch what I drink through the day or I will have to join the soggy bottom band and I can't sing .

Because of the world wide “sniffles” as I cannot bear saying the name, I have to work from home and talk on Microsoft Team.

What this means that instead of a more discreet pull up style nappy that I change often throughout the work day, I now have hubby change me in the morning with a extra absorbent big baby styled nappy covered by plastic panties. It is preferred that hubby does this because not only is it sexual being spread eagled on our bed it but the nappy fits much tighter so and a plastic panties stops the leaking.

When in the home office, I just have my bare nappied butt and a blouse but I do have to be careful when I move as the other side of my team video conference may hear the crinkle of the nappy and the pants.

The best thing is that I don't have to visit the loo unless I do other business.

I wear ether magamax or xp5000.

If I go to my favorite nude Hot springs i wear the xp5000 so i can easily take them off in front of the gay and bi guys as i almost always have an erection to flop out.

I wear Northshore Megamax and BetterDry in the size M. I always wear plastic pants and plastic bloomers on top and sometimes woolen tights (in cold seasons). For me well made plastic pants are a must

I wear cloth prefolds and one or two cloth inserts under my plastic pants. I have since I was a teen and still do now. They hold a lot of pee, I seldom have leaks and now that I'm married again, my wife helps with changing me and that makes changing when we're away from home much easier. We use two 3" pins on each side to keep my diapers tight on my thighs and waist. Good plastic pants are essential. I like high back or high waist panties.

No matter what diaper you get, diapers leak that’s what they do. And regardless of the diaper brand, you absolutely need adult supervision be it you doing your own care or an aide caregiver. Someone has to monitor and maintain the used/ remaining absorbency for maximum containment .

All of the different high absorbency diapers that I've ever used I've never got them to full capacity. As being a male I basically just wet the front and crotch area of the diaper. The very back hardly gets soaked.

I'm mostly in an upright position most of day which is gonna to fill the front and crotch area first. However I lay on my back or side for sleeping then the back is wetter vs during the day.

I can't get my diapers to full capacity either way without leaking. One thing that doesn't help is that I have a short penis which is definitely will fill the front first in upright or laying positions.

I use the Megamax diapers for basically 10 to 12 hours normally. The diaper is basically half to three quarters full (wet) when changed.

I love the Megamax diapers because they fill my need with protection and confidence for extending wearing. There is no perfect diaper!!

Take a good look at a toddler sometime. See their diaper? Ridiculously thick. That's because they get diapered properly. The only time a toddler's diaper leaks is when they've been left too long in a wet diaper. Adult diapers? So thin they are bound to leak. I hate disposables for that reason. Everybody is so concerned that they'll be seen wearing a diaper that the manufacturers strive to hide the “bulge”. I LOVE my cloth diapers and rubber pants. I wear them thick and noticeable. But guess what? They never leak. lol…

I completely agree. Much more important to have a diaper larger enough to hold all my pee during the day, even when it causes some bulging around my bottom and between my legs. Nice thick cloth diapers and rubber pants feel so good when I'm walking around, wetting myself making my diapers so warm and cozy. If someone notices, who cares as long as I don't leak.

A while back in 2020, during lock down when I was stuck in the UK I ordered and tried a pack of out ABU Simple Ultra adult sized disposable diapers/nappies.

And these where where amazing not only are they extremely comfortable but also very absorbant coming in at 6,250 mls or 219oz of liquid which in my case came in extremely handy as I have a tendancy to leak in ordenary/regular store bought diapers

This usually happens whilst I am asleap as and this can be very embarrassing as I am a hevy sleeper plus I am partially incontinent due to factors outside of my control, see my previous replies for more information if you haven't already done so.

Unfortunately they didn't come cheap but that's something that I was glad to find out as they where excellent quality over all and because they came in all white which was good

They usually come with no markings and thas far where the closest reminder to me of the old pampers diapers that I spent the better half of a decade in and out of as a child,

They also come in an option to have scent added like the original pampers perfume, although I didn't go for that option this time around as I have always had sensitive skin

and perfume sometimes has the tendancy to make my skin come up in rashes, which isn't great at the best of times to say in the least.

And all if I won the lottery I would invest in multiple pairs of Maximum absobancy diapers/nappies, and wouldn't care about the cost as long as I could invest in a carer who would see to it my needes where fully catered for but maybe thats for another days subject.

Although when It comes to wearing diapers, at the time of writing this I am an autistic adult male who is in his 42nd year of life as of October 2022, or at least in this life-time so I am still young.

Im guessing here, but when they state they hold so many ml or litres or whatever, they probably mean if you put the diaper in a bucket of water and see how much stays in, not how much pee it holds without running everywhere ?

TREST Elite Briefs even claims “an Unmatched absorbency of 2.5 gallons (approximately 9500 ml)”. I will test that, as soon as I can buy some.

I wear rubber bloomers over my diapers ,Megamax is my going out diaper and even if my diaper leaks , my bloomer does not .two solid sheets of rubber protect me from just below my nipples to just above my Knees.even on the rare fecal blowout nothing has gotten past the diaper and not been contained .at home in my cloth it can escape the inside of the diaper only to contained and absorbed by the outside of the diaper on round 2.

bloomers are of course maximum security, purpose built protection for bed/wheelchair bound incontinent people ( we need all the help we can get ) I don’t see any reason an able body person can’t use them.

I tried the TREST elete briefs on a long road trip. And I must say they are truly amazing. Well over 12 hours of overdosing on coffee and sitting the whole time. The Trist took every bit of it and was no where close to leaking when the trip was through.

Why do we all want a diaper that can pass as a bipedal swimming pool? Just surprised as to the number of our friends here that like overloaded diapers. Used is one thing for me but there are those that want their diapers to hang around their knees.

Try strong suspenders with disposables, and a doubler or two. That keeps them in place, and as the center fills, it can swell and droop, forming a deep well that can collect a high percentage of the diaper's full capacity while the waist and the elastic leak guards stay in place. I got an ABU Little Kings diaper with a doubler to almost 9 pounds. Lots of fluids, and a good dose of Sorbitol. I was on my feet most of the time; sitting down would have squeezed out some of the contents. The swelling caused an unavoidable but delightful waddle as well. Plus the fact that it's over the top weird - I didn't see this mentioned even here!

@flow_er_boy i take 17 G Mirilax & 40 ML lactulose 1 hour before each meal . Within 2 hours my diaper wonders “who volunteered me for this “ as I am a quad I don’t feel it asking or telling .

The ISO rating (ISO 11948-1 for the curious) is the max absorbance possible. Test procedure is:

1. Weigh the dry product

2. Place absorbent side down in 0.9% saline

3. Wait 30 minutes

4. Raise out of solution and let drip for 5 minutes

5. Reweigh and subtract the dry weight

They even state:"These results do not have any applied value for the person wearing them." Seems like more of a marketing gimmick.

I've tried ultra capacity diapers where the SAP clumped up so much that they couldn't spread around the pee anymore. I'd have had just as much service from a Depends, at a fifth of the price!

My solution was to place a baby prefold in it to act as a distribution layer. Worked a treat!
