Why do you wear adult diapers/nappies?

This is a personal toppic of interest that I came across recently whilst on-line and it made me scratch my head to come up with a suitable awnser.

But after much thought here's my honourest awnser although it's one I've covered in the past on other forums/web pages.

1.Medical need/disabilities, I am partially incontinent which means that I need to wear diapers/nappies from time to time in order to prevent a potentially embarrassing and rather publically humiliating accident

2.Whats in my head, psycollogically I feel safer in diapers/nappies because they bring back memories of my childhood/youth when times where much simpler and innocent

3. Accessing my Inner childhood, I never really grew up due to life-long learning difficulties in the form of autism/Asperger's syndrome that wasn't diagnosed until I was in my early 20's in 2001, this means My mindset is that of a toddler.

4. Instant gratification, I really like the feeling of getting into and wearing a clean diaper/nappy as it's like pure heaven to me and the fact that once in them I feel young again and that's not a bad thing.

5.Improvement of general health, I sleep better in diapers as I don't have to wake up at any point in the night to go to the toilet and this is great because I feel much more healthy and energetic.

6. Asphetics, I like the look of diapers/nappies and always have done since I was a child all those years ago when I was born.

7. Relaxation, during the time I am in diapers/nappies I feel more relaxed and less stressed out at the world in general.

8. Convinience, I would rather wear a diaper than use an unhygienic public toilet and the fact I can easily change in and out of them once needed/used.

9. I love the sound of it crinkling every time I move it makes me feel more babyish and in the mood for nothing at all other than being loved and cared for like a little child.

10. Diapers are cool, let's face it that's something that is lve known about since I was a infant/child all those years ago and wearing them doesn't make me ashamed or embarressed at all as they are just another form of under-wear/clothing.

11. the Scent I like the smell of a clean scented diaper/nappy and also the scent of baby powder and creams and gells or shampoo as I like smelling like a baby again as it brings back so many pleasant memories.

12.Softness and Comfort, when wearing them I feel so comfortable and it really does make me think of the time when I was a infant/child in the time before I was Potty trained at the age of 6 , see my previous replies for more information.

Regression. Live like boy. Back in diapers, using baby bottle 🍼, bibs, dependent, much better when looked after by a local person or people. Belong in them.

Basically I wear diapers and rubber pants because I'm so happy when I have my diapers on. As a kid I felt loved and secure in my diapers and slept and my mother diapered me every night until I left for university. I struggled for years between wanting to be diapered and go potty when ever I wanted and being a grown up adult believing only children wore diapers and had no control. Of course from time to time I failed and either just wet my pants or more often pinned a diaper on and spent the day or the weekend diapered and able to potty in my diapers all the time. In my 50's I gave up trying to be a grown up and returned to wearing diapers nearly full time and now being diapered and going potty in my diapers no matter wherever has made me so happy, so stress free and so loved by my fiancee. I wet my diapers often through the day and I just feel so happy and contented, knowing I never have to use an adult potty again.

That's like that with me as well. I wear diapers because they make me happy and being diapered, they make me less stressed out. I love the security and comfort that diapers gives me and they let me get on with life without ever having to poop and pee like an adult. Even as an adult baby, I don't even potty and poop like an adult and I don't even use the adult potties as well. Being diapered means I am not allowed in the adult potty and I am only allowed to go in my diaper. Being an adult baby, also helps me have my own version of adulthood, which is adult babyhood. Which is why as an adult baby, I don't own any adult underwear and I poop and pee in my diapers. I own diapers and wear nothing but diapers and onesies. Being diaper dependent and diapered permanently, I can go potty in my diapers no matter where I am. That makes me vey happy and stress free because I can be an adult baby, never potty like an adult and be diapered for the rest of my life. It's also why I never liked the adult potties because they are segregated by sex and that's something I never liked.

I think I begin to understand a much more about wearing diapers (even despite the fact that I feel disgusting if anybody talks about it). that's a much deeper emotional connection between this and a will to hide yourself from the problems, from the everyday bullshit and to feel weak and protected. and for some reason it always makes me running unto tears. ;-;

That was a great post hit me.I'am autistic +dd which made me in the lower part of classes in school they said would have bad behavior last wet the bed at 13yr.Then dry for along time later in life incontinence came back and my wife who wants no wet beds put me back in diapers the ego was shot but have been in them for soo long.I feel very secure in them now.

I just started experimenting with diapers, and found the hug it gives around by boy parts is very enjoyable! Not unlike the overall hug of a full firm girdle…in fact since the sample diapers I have do not fit well, i pull on a girdle over them…nice n snug and comfy. Also helps hide them when outside.

Interesting first time experience: I was far from house and really had to pee, so I did….well that was amazing to just LET GO and do something not allowed for 70 years. The diaper sucked it up, felt no wetness, just added weight to the diaper and some swelling. I can see why many people enjoy them outside of those who have to have them.

Because awake or asleep I am still incontinent and need to protect my bed from messing ,wetting the bed happens sometimes when a diaper or bed pad fails ,its a whole nother level if you mess the bed .

Ultimately I have little say about diapers today ,when you have nurses and aides being paid to clean change cath.feed you ,do the laundry etc ..

There's not much as to personal care I actually need to ask for ,everything is done the way I trained them ,on the clock routinely .

Must be going back to being young and it must be something in my head that i dont really remember anything about, but to wear a diaper and plastic pants, and to have something pushed up my bum, be it soap, or a proper suppository or glycerin, whatever , to be knowing im going to shit my brains out very soon, filling that diaper, even though it can be a bit messy to clean up, its something i have to do occasionally. especially if theres a person there with me.

I think I just rebel against potty training. I just didn't want to bother and liked to wet in my pants instead and especially in my bed at night. Same here, I rebel against potty training and having to use the adult potty. I never liked using the adult potty because I don't get to use the potty I am comfortable in. It's why I don't use the adult potty anymore and I just go in my diapers.

Get to used them more in this covid time, as bathroom weren't has accessible.

else it the comfort and security. the padding is “hugging” me.

The convenience of not having to stop what you do to go to the bathroom, so having more concentration on the task at hand.

In resume, it have nothing to do with the “child” side, it's solely on the practical side.

I had a mental issue last year and part of my recovery was going back and doing what made me happy. My wife accepted that I wanted to wear a diaper and if it made me happy she was OK with it. So I wear a diaper when I work during the day, as I work from home. I feel happy and comfortable and I enjoy using them. I can't see me stopping, but I would love to be in diapers 24x7. Maybe one day.

I wear adult terry nappies because i was born total bladder incontinent, so i have never been out off them and now they are part of me and i am so glad i have them on no waiting to use the toilet and when i am in a queue in a shop i can just wet myself without any problems had a few leaks which was embarrassing but now i use a booster which has cut down onnthe leaks. Downside to cloth nappies is they sag which is a problem if i am wearing a short skirt and people notice had a few nasty comments but a few people know about my condition and are fine with it and had a few mums offering help with the changing that is when i go bright red.

I wear terry nappies because they are what I wore as a baby. I am now partly incontinent and prefer wearing them rather than using a catheter or disposables. I also find they are relaxing and a good way to destress for me

As a more detailed answer, I enjoy wearing diapers for a lot of reasons. They're comfortable, I love the softness of them, and as an ABDL I usually buy brands that are made with the ABDL community in mind so they're usually super cute too. Wearing and wetting diapers helps me relax and just makes me happy. It's a little hard to explain exactly how it makes me feel, but essentially wearing/using diapers is sort of an act of rebellion against adulthood and the responsibilities and stresses that go with it.

For need because I'm incontinent.

Definitely for need as bladder is so unreliable and once is starts it keeps going intermittently for over an hour usually filling the Nappy, sometimes have a bm accident too, so yes they are part of life and absolutely essential !

I wear nappies and rubber pants for the following seven reasons;

1.Convenience when out in public. So many public restrooms are closed these days because of Covid-19, Nappies and rubber pants have saved me from disgracing myself more than once.

2. My bladder is not too reliable these days and nappies and rubber pants take away the worry and inconvenience of having to change wet pants because of an accident.

3. I can sleep through the night without getting up to go to the bathroom.

4. I don't have to worry about whether or not I'll make it to the restroom on time.

5. Rubber pants and nappies make me feel safe and secure.

6. I find nappies much more comfortable than regular underwear.

7. Nappies and rubber pants make me feel young again!

Mostly for myself it's because of practicality and comfort, I don't need to wear diapers/nappies all the time however when I do it is not without good reason, as they provide me with relaxation and protection against any embarrassing situations, plus I have a health condition/disability so in a sense I have a valid reason to be diapered.

Plus wearing diapers kind of makes me feel young again as they remind me of my childhood years when everything was more simple and innocent and therefore care free, and whilst I don't want to be a infant again all of the time I do like to regress safety if I get the chance in the relative privacy of my own bedroom/hotel if abroad.

I wear them pure for fun and the warm feeling after it was wetting by my own pee.

I’ve tried to determine why I like wearing diapers and rubber pants throughout my lifetime. I wear to satisfy my fetish, not for a medical need. I’ve come to recognize the sense of security I feel while wrapped in a cloth diaper and a pair of rubber or plastic panties. Security is on part of a complex dynamic. I’ve also come to embrace the feeling of humiliation while dressed in a diaper as well as the loss of control. Giving in to wearing a diaper, receiving an enema and being diapered and put in plastic panties all factor in to the thrill. I’ve embraced the security of a cloth diaper and the feeling it creates especially when caressing through rubber panties.

I've thought about this a lot over the years.

The earliest thoughts I remember having about diapers were indulging in the humiliation aspect, as well as enjoying the bulk between my legs. Doing something that wasn't "mature" was alluring to me. Nowadays I like how soft they are, how they swell when used, and the pleasant sensation of a used diaper drooping behind me. The security of waking up, peeing, and going right back to bed is nice too. I also have some bladder/bowel issues, but they're mild and only emerged within the last decade, far later after my interest in diapers developed.
