"Freezing" moment during sex, "Catatonic" response ?

Hello everyone..

You know that moment during sex when you just “freeze” from some pleasure you get?

Well, (I am a woman) and for me that often lasts longer then just a “moment”.. I read about “catatonia”, and I know it's serious medical condition, so I have to make a difference between that and my sexual response to different simuli when I enjoy so much that I show some of symptoms I show which are -

aphasia - I can't make myself talk; I am able but I enjoy it much more if I am mute, just moaning, sighing, but not making sentences, maybe just make myself say: “yes” …

Some of my other sexual response include my metal and physical full submission, and I found this on Wiki describing catatonia - “decreased response to external stimuli, immobility or inhibited movement, mutism, staring: mutism: no, or very little, verbal response (exclude if known aphasia)"..

But I am full aware of what is happening, excited 100%, I make sounds (again, not words, can;t to it), and I grimace.. everything is actually seen on my face, in my eyes and breathing/moaning, but the rest of me is rigid etc..

So, people either get confused, ot think I don't enjoy.. and I can't verbalise my thoughts nor do I move.. Even my eyes sometise “roll back”, but that is my response like prolonged “freezing” moment.. I feel fully relaxed then.

I don't know how to explaine it truly, I did my best.. So.. Thoughts about it? Does Anyone else feels/responds like that?

p.s. I taged it in med fet because of “Catatonia” which is a medical stuff, and BDSM because of my submissive metal and psysical state.

It's just so much it's not that it's bad it's wonderful but it's just too much. I get that way from other things too. I've had the DX of selective mutism before. When I'm overstimulated or there's too many lights are in sounds or sensations I lose my mind and it's not so much that I can't talk but I can't think enough to talk.

@Mental_Patient well, yes, I have Stendhal syndrome -sometimes I get overstimulated by some art, music for ecample, I feel like I'm in heaven, for real.. it get's so beautiful in all kinds of ways, sometimes I felt like I'm levitating, and sometimes I cried from how happy some song made me… people don't understand that to.. bt it's different..

in my sexual “freeze” I am…. sexual, and excited and incredible horny .. but talking, moving and what I've said earlier- no. it's like long prolonged the most beautiful moment and my mind and body try to hold it but still keep awarenes of what's happening later and enjoy even more.. I have the same response but for the very opposite reasons because I am that sensitive. I'm I'm that sensitive to touch. Lights sounds smells everything.. even my own emotions.

I am a semi-speaking autistic. I can speak but I'm not very good at it. And speaking is work.

I can get over stimulated and have a meltdown I'll get cranky I can get over stimulated and totally euphoric but in either case I can't think enough to talk.

I have not heard of Stendhal syndrome. That's interesting I'll have to read about it.

I think I get overstimulated every time I go potty in my diapers and my fiancee tells me I'm just a baby and takes me to our bed to change my diapers. By the time she unpins my diaper I so excited I can't see straight.

Last week I had sex with a Korean gal. When I was on top, trying to finish, I looked at her face. Her knees were up to her shoulders and her head was tilted back as far as it could go. I began this thread wanting to see if there are other people who experience things the way I sometimes do, and I never read people talking about this, or specific stuff on the web, so I did my own research. I don;t think there's a “name” of this (or similar) state.

@kittrie I major in psychology. I think the “freeze” moment you have is a normal response to feeling pleasure. This reaction differs in duration among people and doesn't usually have a strict time to follow. In psychology, we have what we call 4D's to define what is abnormal namely; deviance, distress, dysfunction, and danger. If what you're feeling isn't causing distress to you, majorly affecting your functioning in major aspects of your life, or posing a threat to you or others, then you have nothing to worry about.

About catatonia and aphasia:

Catatonia is usually a symptom found under the category of “Schizophrenia and other Psychotic Disorders” in the DSM 5 (This is the book guiding our clinical diagnosis in the field). This is usually found in people with schizophrenia. People with this present in various ways but what i've seen personally is someone with a waxy flexibility - meaning the angle of limbs for example can be moved by someone and it would stay that way just like bending a waxy candle and then setting it in a certain position.

Aphasia on the other hand is, to put it simply, when someone is unable to understand what you are saying and express themselves through speech. This is usually due to brain damage. Usually people who've had a serious head injury acquire this.

I love that moment - it's amazing, though only lasts a split second in my case.
