Young girls belly examination - share your experiences

Hi everyone.

I would like to know how you did the abdominal exam in which the patient was a girl up to 25 years old. If you've had fun or still have it, I'd love to read your experiences.

Please describe in detail what the patient looked like, what she was wearing during the examination and how the examination itself proceeded (how she reacted to pressure in the abdominal cavity, auscultation, and maybe you examined the abdomen differently).

Girls who were patients during the examination, also describe how your fun was.

I had the chance to perform a real abdominal exam on one of my ex-girlfriends over twenty years ago now.

She was 24 years old at the time. At her home, her sister who was studying medicine had just received her first stethoscope. A classic litmann (year 2000) I asked her if I could try it on her, and of course she said yes.

I first listened to her lungs in the back, then she took off her shirt and lay down on the floor. She was still wearing her jeans and bra. I checked her heart for a long time, then I started to check her abdomen which was very beautiful. Bowel sounds were very present (we had eaten an hour before) I took the time to listen in the 4 quadrants. I had to listen for at least 10-15 minutes. Then I started to gently palpate her belly, but since she had just eaten, her stomach was quite hard. I remember mostly the noise it made in the large intestine. I also did a percussion sequence. And finally a new auscultation, because her stomach was really making a lot of noise.

A very nice memory! I hope to be able to do an exam like this again one day…

Belly exam is always fun, it tickles a little bit is also a little painful with slight pressure from the doctor.

I love examining my partners abdomen. I'll start by getting her to remove her top and skirt, being stripped down to her bra and underwear and lying on the bed. I'll slowly palpate the soft flesh of her tummy all over then go deeper, placing the pa of my hand down percussing and asking if there's any pain. I'll then auscultate, listening to the sounds in all four quadrants for around ten minutes, listening to the nice gurgling sounds coming out, and also listen to the umbilical pulse above her bellybutton. All good stuff. 😃

I also love doing abdominal exams as a part of roleplay. Especially getting to do it multiple times with a partner and comparing over different levels of fullness or menstrual cycle etc
