Emergency Medical Role Play

It all started for me whan I was a young boy. There was a TV show in the 70's called Emergency (on in reruns now). I would love to watch them defibrilate someone and see then arch their back and bounce off the bed. I recall playing with other kids and we would pretend to do CPR and defibrilate each other. Maybe that's why I became a paramedic. I enjoyed practing first aid and CPR skills as a Boy Scout.

I fell in love with Emergency! through reruns in the late 90s, and it did influence my decision to become a paramedic.

Most of the stories I've written are either Emergency! fanfare or have a strong EMS theme.

Mine was Trauma: Life in the ER. I loved watching the hot doctors cut clothes off. Definitely was a deep fantasy of mine. Not that I’d ever want to be a trauma alert!
