Belted shields? Does anyone use these?

I’ve been looking at these at drugstores for quite a while and finally bought some. They come with two pairs of elastic waist bands with buttons on them, and you use it to fasten a piece that resembles the bottom of a diaper under your bottom? I doubt they’d stand up to a full deliberate wetting but they look kinda sexy on me. The

Ive heard the word belt used before, but never seen one, do you have pics of or a makers name ?

Certainty (Walgreens Store Brand) makes them. I’m about to upload a picture to a gallery and link it.

They are new to me but appear to be essentially diapers for pee... an alternative to the typical pads.I doubt they'd be much use for poo.

On the contrary, if I peed full length into one it’d leak. I could probably mess one, were I so inclined. I’m not but some may have success with these if they enjoy messing.

Isn't this very similar to what used to be used for periods before disposable pads and tampons?

Yes. You can see a satyrical depiction of this on McKinnon era of SNL. Not my cup of tea but I'm sure someone gets off on seeing Kate McKinnon and (I think?) Vanessa Bayer with old-fashioned menstrual pads visible through their business attire. It's quite funny at any rate.

I mean, I would make love to either of them in a heartbeat...

EDIT: I was wrong, it's much older than I thought. Amy Poehler era.

I am a regressed little boy type, so, we need to stay in the more straight up plastic disposable diapers. Belts do not work well for us.

So interestingly, when my mom decided I needed to be back in diapers for my bedwetting around the age of 11, she originally bought me normal plastic backed adult diapers (1993 or so). But after a few packages of those she switched over to buying these stupid belted shields. I’ll never know why she switched, but I assume maybe she thought they were less embarrassing? Anyway I hated them. They leaked a lot more than diapers, and the belts were actually too long. I would have to pull them through and then stretch the elastic back around behind me and tie them together.

I didn’t know what a diaper fetish was at the time, but I knew I liked something about being in diapers. The one redeeming quality those had was that I could tie the elastic belts together super tight, so in the morning when I was desperate to pee it would take a good 10 minutes to get them untied and I would usually lose control and have an accident in my “diaper“. But other than that they were terrible.

I remember when I was running out of a package I asked my mom to switch back to normal diapers, but she told me it was getting expensive and if I thought I still needed them I could buy them with my own money. I was nearing 13 years old, and decided I didn’t want to spend my limited cash on diapers, so that was the end of it. I became dry shortly after. Of course with hindsight I wished I had continued. I came to find out later that my bedwetting never fully went away, but that’s another story.

I used to use the "Depend" brand many years ago that i got at a liquidation sale. I ended up using them as boosters/stuffers inside a tabbed regular depends brief which i got in the same lot. The old school depend ones used to hold a lot but once they were full you were definitely leaking. if i would use them again it would have to be with my plastic pants or inside a tabbed brief. As far as messing the old ones i used had side gathers which helped contain the mess as long as you didn't go overboard but i guess it just depends on the specific shield.

Complete garbage for actual IC people they don't adequately control or contain any body waste, in the amount or quantity we need . For minor leaks its minor protection for major loss of control you will definitely want a 2 piece diaper .

In reference to everyone saying they're useless for actual wetting--yeah, I wonder who actually buys these enough that there's a market for them.

I see these at every Walgreens and some CVS

Oh, indeed, thank you!

If you are crossdressing in 1950's style these belted shields are like wearing belted napkins (kotex). otherwise they are not really good for much.

Love the look of classic belted Kotex - while I not into anything messy, there is something very exciting seeing a gal wearing it. Takes me back to my youth...

Any girl that was a teen in the 60s will remember the Kotex sanitary belt. There were no adhesive pads back then. Not very comfortable but that was all there was. Although tampons were available, the consensus was that tampons were for girls that were married at that time.

I was at a trade show a few years ago for 3 days and the booth across from me sold insurance. There was a girl there that was in charge and she wore khaki slacks and you could plainly see the belt through her pants. About the second day it dawned me what it was. She didn't seem to have a problem with it as it was very visible. I thought they went out in the 60's but I guess some still prefer them or have flow issues and need them. Makes me glad all over I am a guy!

“Give me liberty or give me death!”

My version goes like this: “Give me TAMPAX or give me death , NO negotiations!”

The girls in England back in the 60's wore a belt and towels called ‘Dr Whites.’ I'm not sure when tampons came in over here but my sister used them in the late 60's early 70's as her Tampax applicator was always laying around in the bathroom or wherever.
