Hairy or shaved

I first heard that most young women were shaving off most or all of their pubic hair in the 1990's from a gynecologist neighbor. I can't understand this trend because it makes grown women look juvenile. Pubic hair on women is sexy. The more the better. Let it grow outside your panties and down your legs. Speaking of legs, I went to beaches in Europe in the 1990s and there were many women who didn't shave their legs or under their arms.

This is also discussed in a couple of other threads. There are pros and cons either way by both men and women. I prefer women shaved or closely trimmed. But hairy is not a showstopper. It’s all good 😀

I don't care if a woman has a bush or pubic hair, I'm going to find the sweet spot anyway. 😜

It's all comes down to personal preference.

Choosing how to groom yourself should be based solely on the way you want to view yourself. That said there are many who will voice a preference as to how someone looks with regard to body hair- all natural, some trimming to no hair at all. Often people will be influenced by trends and choose a look that they feel makes them fit in with the crowd, while others will ignore the crowd and choose a look that they want.

We all have our reasons for our preferences but we should respect each person's choices in how they choose to present themselves- it's their body.

I think maybe it started a bit sooner in America than it did in Britain but I think ladies started shaving a bit more when we got into the nineties. I think it became a fashion thing. When I started modelling lingerie, I was 18 in 2005, I got asked to shave and before an assignment I did shave what could show but I did not shave when I was not going to have work. They just did not want my dark fur showing through the lacey stuff that I would get asked to wear.

My style though is just natural but just trimmed so that it does not show outside my thongs and bikinis, so I shave a bit at the top of my leg and just make my triangle a bit narrower at the front. It is what I like best, my husband loves it too. It is dark and thick and I think it looks pretty and sexy, and I am not scared of looking a bit different to girls who shave.

I like the natural look on a woman , but it has to be maintained and not look like a burst sofa

I had a similar experience to @Amethyst. I modeled in the late 70’s and early 80’s. We only shaved what would show out the sides of what we were modeling. I did some underwear work for a catalog (not the sexy stuff haha). We did trim so there wouldn’t be a big bush bulge. Not that I had a big bush.

I started shaving in the nineties. I noticed the women in porn doing it and I liked how it looked.

I used to trim in the winter and shave in the summer because of wearing a bikini. Now I shave year-round. It feels nicer I think. Also, I think the scent is different. A girlfriend/partner and I decided one winter to let it grow to evaluate it just for fun. Plus it would be hot trimming and then shaving. That is how we came to the conclusion that with hair the scent is different. With hair, the hair seems to pick up the scent of the soap or body wash you use. If you went to the gym the sweat scent was more pronounced. The same went when on our periods. The scent was stronger after working all day. I mean not to where you could smell it through our clothes. (I threw that in there because I know someone was thinking about that) I mean after work and removing your clothes to shower etc.

Frankly, I love a thick bush on a playmate. As for the musk...it enhances the allure. There are limits, of course: I don't want her smelling like a bear that has been eating fish! LOL! Nonetheless, I find the scent of a woman's pubic area a definite turn on.

@Soapy4me. True! A woman should never smell like fish. If she does there’s a problem. For that matter a fish shouldn’t smell like fish either. If either does it means they’re not fresh.

I have shaved since I was 16 before that I kept it trimmed short. The guys I have been with like it shaved better. I personally like it shaved as well.

Certainly it’s preference. When I go down on my wife with a full bush, picking pubes from my teeth is not my favorite. Still, she prefers me as a hairy guy.

I like her trimmed and the trimming process is fun!

Is looking for responses about womens pubic hair not that of men. So DrZ is correct that this topic is directed more towards women being "Hairy or Bushy".

I've been clean shaven since 15. Just prefer that clean smooth feeling. So there is no spitting when someone goes down on me...you know.... lick, lick, spit, lick, lick

Shaved clean and smooth 98% of the time. Sometimes grow a landing strip just to prove im a natural redhead.

I don't think anyone said men shouldn't post to this thread, but that the topic of the thread is female pubic hair and men's responses should be about that, not male pubic hair.

If you think you’re ever going to see a women only thread on Zity, you’re dreaming. This place is vast majority men. Just to mention.

I think it is ok if men post on this topic if they talk about ladies' pubic hair, not their own though.

We had female teenage french students stay with us in the late 80s - mid 90s and most of them had hairy armpits, although I'm not sure about their pubic hair but would imagine a natural bush....

Shaved is hot

I love my wife with shaved labia and shaved sides on the top but natural thick bush on her top pubic area!

I like my partner trimmed, not shaved. This way, there is no hair to spit but still get the natural feeling.

I have always loved a nice bush on mature women, not so much arm pits and legs, but over the years in my single days I’ve been with several women that were completely shaved, really i love most all naked women, my wife of thirty plus year has never shaved and I love it
