This questions comes up a lot and is worth discussing.
1. I don’t think enemas ever went away, they’ve just evolved. Instead of going to drugstore and seeing myriad enema gear, we go on the web and see a smorgasbord of nozzles, bulbs, bags, cans, Colon tubes, etc. True that some of the classic designs are gone, but there is an epic shit ton of cheap gear for your rear that is easy to access, dare I say more so than the golden era. Ali express, Amazon, OHN, medtech3000, silicone nozzles, medical toys.com- the list goes on. Gear is now made with klismo tastes in mind vs under the pretext of a medical tool. Gear is as bountiful as ever.
2. Do the majority of parents use enemas as a regular at home treatment like they did in 50s? Prolly not, but that’s not the whole story. First off, there is a yoga hippy dipper enema cleanse trend that comes and goes every decade since the 80s. This movement is huge on Instagram right now. I see tons of enema videos coming up and lots of ladies using them to get rid of parasites and stay young. Same quackery as golden era, but with a new twist. Some of these ladies are mommies that are administering enemas for health reasons to their families. Don’t count those people out when it comes to the unnecessary use of enemas.
3. More enemas are given at home by parents than we think. I’ll explain. I was comparing notes with fellow father as we both have young children and I told him it took me a year to potty train my child despite them knowing how to use a facilities for that whole year- at some point it was a choice. He told me I’m lucky because his brother’s daughter would hold her BM in until she was painfully constipated. He told me that they had to give her daily enemas from age three to at least seven. She’s in high school now. I would guess by college age she will be on zity. This convo was recent, as in last weekend.
Plus, I read that doctors suggest morning enema or suppository therapy for kids that are having a hard time potty training and learning which feelings are telling them it’s time to go. Point is: There are plenty of enemas being given to kids, we just don’t know because many of you have adult kids at this point and are not deep into that world anymore. It’s handled more by the actual parents in private, not relatives beyond mom and dad, and the subject is not as out in the open unless it comes up, like with my potty training talk.
4. Hospitals don’t give as many enemas. No debate. Maybe not a bad thing. But, they are still given in medical context, and depends on which country we are talking about. Enemas are much bigger deal still in certain European nations, as well as some Asian countries. Their popularity and how often they are used in medical settings varies from nation to nation. We have to be less insular with it comes to discussing this topic.
5. Younger generation engages in a lot of anal sex and eats ass. They are comfortable with this because the millennials like myself are big into being super clean and hairless down there. We prep our ass with enemas so it’s clean for ass play. It’s less the enema that is the kink in this case, and more a prep for other play. Still, many use enemas to clean themselves for sexual play, while not considering the enema itself sexual play. Inevitably, a few of those people will find they like the prep, and may choose to start including enemas as part of their kinky fun.
6. Last thing I’ll discuss here, but by no means the end of this discussion, is the LGBTQ community and enemas. Not all from that group are kinky, but there is a giant crossover as they are already involved in what many consider taboo, so it’s not a far step into the kink world for them. Gay men use enemas as prep for sex, and lots of lesbian couples use them for varied reasons. Many of the ladies that we got involved in enemas were already in that group, and were very open to such play, despite never being exposed to it growing up.
And there are innumerable kink sites with photos and videos of enemas and the like. Not to mention the amateur stuff out there. Just my observations
