Reason behind getting sexually charged feelings with body exposure

I was wondering, has anybody thought why we get sexually excited if we our body is exposed or we see someone exposed. We medfetters can relate to it more I guess. Because some of us including me get that sexual excitement (we ladies feel wet down there and a few men experience slight erection)

I have at times felt excited even observing myself in the bathroom in the state of undress.

In medical exam In my regular annual exam I feel excited at times if my abdomen is examined or abdominal ultrasound is done (why: that involves exposure of abdomen)

I have been in attendance at friends abdominal ultrasound too. Have gotten sexually excited even then (why: because her abdomen was exposed)

Hmm. We had a thread running (briefly) here not long ago about modesty. I guess that any perceived lack of normal bodily modesty could potentially be arousing. For me it is more the style of the exposure. Now in Dr office or any exam there is the chance of seeing something. I imagine. But in public it's the style of the exposure. The low cut of the blouse. The extra button open. The slit in the side of the skirt. Just how much leg is exposed.

Interesting question. I like to be looked at. I have as far back as I can remember which is kind of amusing as I’m not really an extravert. For me, it's at least somewhat related to the embarrassment factor. The embarrassment is a big part of what gets me off. Usually my fantasies and memories are medical related. For me, it's a couple of things:

Embarrassment, vulnerability, shifting of the power dynamic. For most of my adult life, I've been one of the guys in charge. Being naked in a medical (or other similar situation) flips that power dynamic around. I'm stripped of authority and position and must submit to the most intimate examination and inquiry.

But there are other circumstances and situations.

In my younger days I earned some extra cash as a life/figuring drawing model (often nude). Again, my body was presented without pretense or authority - but the power dynamic is different than in a medical setting. The class/session coordinator may suggest or modify poses, but interactions with the artists (from just one to almost 20) is very aloof - but still a huge turn on.

Why does this naked thing arouse us? Where do kink and fetish fit into the whole evolutionary thing? Are they just off-tangent or variant forms of sexual arousal? Even if most forms of this don't really have to include intercourse? By evolving our “bigger brain", did this trade-off lead to more driven, far more exotic mental activities, for arousal, that go way beyond just procreating with sex?
