UTI from drinking directly from the source?

Hello! I'm new, found this place by googling and had to join so I could ask for advice.

My girlfriend and I enjoy watersports and 99% of the time she sits directly on my mouth to do it while I lay down, sort of to give the appearance of forcing me to drink. Last 6 months or so we've done this fairly often, however she recently got an UTI. We took a break with the watersports while she was on antibiotics and waited a while extra after that. When we started again, and she got an even worse UTI after a while. The doctor recommended peeing after sex (she already does), changing her birth control (can't for medical reasons) or a long antibiotic treatment. It would seem like we're causing the UTIs by how we engage in watersports? She always drinks plenty of water btw.

Is it a crazy conclusion, does someone have similar experience or information, or good advice? Obviously we don't want to stop, but her health is the most important priority. Guess we'll have to start using a funnel, haha.

You should both see medical professionals and explain exactly what is happening with the sex and UTIs. They are the ones that should figure this out. Good luck!

To clarify: I've been told asking for straight medical advice is not allowed, and thats not what I'm here for! She has been going to the doctor and we are taking it seriously. I'm just wondering if our conclusion seems probable, or if this has happened to other people who are into watersports. Thanks. 😃

lots of reasons for UTIs. My wife was plagued with them til the docs finally figured it out. Clean since then.

Oh! Good idea, I'll book an appointment too. Would be weird, we've been together for over 10 years so one would think that we're in sync by now but weirder things have happened haha. Come to think of it, if I have something it means its not the watersports that are the problem, that would be a relief!

My wife use to get a lot of UTIs whe we had a lot of intercourse. I think we narrowed it down to her being allergic to my semen.
