Longest you have had a Foley in place for?

The maximum I have a foley in for was 72 hours. The biofilm after 5 days is sufficient to increase the incidence of catheter related infections by more than 30 percent, so I try not to leave it in for longer than that. Thirty days is the maximum I would leave the same catheter in.

My urologist says to change your catheter every 30 days. I have worn a catheter for over 90 days. Every 30 days I change the catheter. When I get my botox injections, I don't have to wear a catheter after that. The first set of botox injections lasted about 2 months. The last set were a bit more successful. I got 3 months before I had to insert a catheter. I wore one for about60 days before the upcoming set of injections.

So now I had to change the catheter in the Dr.s office today. Seems my catheter was a tad “dirty” and so they wanted a new catheter and got their sample to make sure that I don't need some drugs. I will know on Friday.

Was an interesting to insert a catheter with a nurse watching. I did it the way I always do, she lubed the catheter, I thought she would insert it, she told me to insert the catheter, she plugged the catheter, when I got it in, she then put the water in the balloon. Then she pulled the plug, hooked up the bag, let some urine flow, then stopped it, put the plug in and let the urine build up to get a sample. She pulled the plug, got the sample and then hooked up the bag and I got dressed. At one point she put a drape over me, I said, I didn't care if she saw me or not. Was not a but exciting at all. She was very good.. I when I insert a catheter, I do pretty much the same thing that she did.

So Friday next week I will get more Botox injections and in a week after them, I can pull the catheter out and go back to normal when I need to pee.

I do enjoy the feel of a catheter in me, I do like the ease of being able to pee normally, but a catheter lets me sleep through the night. That is really great. I will take pictures of the event. Maybe even a video. Can't show faces.

The longest period of time I have had a Foley catheter in place was for seven days following a prostate-reduction surgery (TURP).

I went in to the surgeon's office and a nurse deflated the balloon and removed the catheter.

I went home and within six hours, my temperature was over 104 degrees F (40 degrees C). My wife called the surgeon who had me admitted to the hospital. I was in the hospital for three days with sepsis and nearly died. My wife was freaking out because her mom and her aunt both died of sepsis after they got bladder infections.

My longest time was about 36 hours, a Cannonball Trophy Dash, New York to the Queen Mary parking lot in Long Beach, CA. Drinking lots of coffee to remain alert equaled needing to urinate quite frequently, which wasn't possible, as the only stops were for fuel, about every six to seven hours. Being cathed sidestepped that problem.

I’ve tied my previous record, if 3 days, however this time I am in recovery so it is something less focused on, but a god send so I don’t have to get up to pee all the time.

It’s also a new type for me, Dover silicone (blue one) and was so comfortable the instant I inserted it.

Last year i had two bladder resection procedures. After each one I had a foley for 7 days. I found the inconvenience outweighed any erotic benefits.

Around 28 days, I think. I did end up with a minor urine infection though.

Post surgery I had a catheter in for 10 days.

I had a foley for 3 weeks before prostate surgery and 4 weeks afterwards. I have had 3 bladder surgeries with a catheter for about a week each time.

I was cathed for two months when I became urinary incontinent. I will be cathed again for around 5 days in August for Vulvoplasty SRS bottom surgery.

7 Days. I just had one removed that had been in for 7 days. Same thing last month, 7 days in and then 3 weeks out. Helps my bladder rest after it gets stretched

After more than five years since I posted here, well I became a fan of long therm wearing. There were a few changes which helped this process. The biggest change that I told the whole catheter fetish story to my girlfriend who was very surprised ,but accepted it. She knows all my other fetishes so this was the last milestone to play with catheters.

The other thing is that I work alone as a gardener ,so I can wear my leg bags without anyone noticing it when became full..

So there's nothing in the way of longtherm wearing my catheter.

I think the last year spent about finding the best brands of catheter manufacturers for maximum comfort and joy.

Soft ,good quality 100% silicone catheters are the best for long therm use. I use 18-20Fr sizes depending on my mood...

I keep them in for 4 week. Thats the recomenned lenght of use for silicone catheters.

Ive read thats can be more than 4 ,but safety first. ~monthly change is ok for me.

Night sleeps are wonderful. I produce 1000-2500ml urine while sleeping. Thats 2-5 trips/wake ups to the toilet.. No, thanks!

Daytime I use leg bags range from 350-800ml's attached to my left thight and secured with tight lycra cycling shorts.

At the end of the wear usualy I dont want to took it out, but I dont want to be incontinent so I took a rest for a few weeks.

I want to do a 8 week session with a change at 4th week. I'll do it at wintertime...

Now I have a 18 Fr with a 15ml balloon in for week now and an 500ml leg bag.

Feels so comfortable!
