Are amber latex bags now completely off the market?

My amber latex travel syringe has now rotted along one of the folds and is history. Although I could take along the Rexall Victoria when travelling, the latex bag and hoses are far more 'packable.'

I have looked at all the traditional online sites and they are no longer carried. I checked e-bay a couple of times and not even vintage latex bags are there. Even the old Rite Aid 2 qt latex douche syringes have disappeared.

Anybody know of a current source? Not that anybody is doing a lot of travel right now!

I have not seen an amber latex travel syringe in decades. I have a special fondness for them as that was what was used to administer my boyhood enemas.

The folding yellow bag that introduced me to enemas was technically a travel model. One thing I've missed in the bags I' ve had since was how different the size was between empty and flat, and bulging and engorged with hot soapy water. It gave a real sense of drama as it slowly changed shape as it injected the solution into my bowels.

Some of the disposable bags, MDI Center Hang for example, are pretty well made and can be used many times. They pack unobtrusively.

They sell for about $5 or $6 retail.

Your link is not for the usual kind of enema bag/syringe. The item looks a lot more like an enema panty... rubber panties with an inflatable retention nozzle and bag attached.

The original amber latex "folding" or "travel" syringes were designed for women to pack in their suitcases, discretely hidden in small often rubberized fabric purses. Their purpose was clear, either douching before and/or after sex to be "clean and sweet" and/or not to have a bay. Since it was such a small addition, a rectal nozzle was included in the kit to help the woman poo after a long train trip for example. The advertising of the day shows this clearly.

In the air travel days, a train or car trip could easily take two days, so the need was clear, and confirmed by the dozen or so brands and models of the period.

There are, of course, a wide variety of disposable ones, which can give a bag of solution equally well.

Latex allergies have made silicone a safer choice for many.

There is no choice. Nobody makes silicone folding fountain syringes

I think the "folding travel syringe" market has been taken over, for those who do still want an enema by the small vinyl bag "disposable" kits (usually in 1500mL, sometimes in 2500).

I have some good memories of those latex bags. The first enema bag I bought for my own, was a Faultless Travel Syringe. It was yellow. I bought it because at the time I had not come out to my new wife yet that I took enemas for fun, and that bag was small and easy to hide. Eventually I did talk her into some play with a Faultless combo bag. A bit later in a local drugstore I saw one of those semi-transparent amber latex bags and bought it just out of curiosity. I don't remember the brand name.

Over the years I travelled some for my job and those latex bags often went with me because they were small and easy to pack. As they wore out, the replacement was pink. It too ripped out around the hanging grommet, the last one maybe 10 years ago. As some others have said, it seems the latex bags are no longer on the market.

I think I owned one of those pink bags. Wish I still had it. Brings back memories when I think about it.

While folding latex douche bags have become rare there are some latex bags available. On eBay, for example, check seller qcare.

Also, a while back I remember that someone in Ireland possibly, was reproducing Sojourn style bags, but none are for sale now.

Grant was the manufacturer of yellow/amber latex folding bags. I haven't seen them for sale for a year or so, suspect he is no longer with us. I suspect he had a small garage manufacturing business, had the molds and a tub of liquid latex that the molds were repeatedly dipped in until the thickness was sufficient. The process is somewhat like making latex condoms or rubber gloves.

His bags sold for about $70 and were available through various fetish sites, no longer there.

I was fortunate to obtain one of those amber latex bags from Ireland via Enemarotica. It's pictured in my avatar. I also have a photo of my vintage Davol Starlet and Sears folding combination in my equipment album.

These folding travel syringes are very rare, especially because they aren't as durable as the regular fountain syringes or hot water bottle combinations that may last for decades. They are great for packing in a ditty bag and have that unique ambiance for enemas and douching.

I do have a couple of the red Davol Starlets that are new and unused. The Sears combination is also like new, although I can't be sure it was never used before I obtained it. Inasmuch as I should probably consider liquidating some of my collection, I am open to some discussion with others who may have an interest in obtaining items from the distant past.

The most amazing travel amber syringe bag I ever had was a Celebrity, that was the brand name, purchased from a small pharmacy on Fifth Avenue in NYC near Central Park.

I was helped in the purchase by a woman, a bit older than I, who agreed with me it was very expensive. She said the store catered to a wealthy clientele who were looking for the best and the Celebrity Folding Syringe was the best. She said several well known actresses had purchased one from her. Then she said did I know most actresses take enemas regularly, so their bags got a lot of use and they appreciated the durability of the Celebrity and the fact it wasn't thick, heavy, it was a soft nice rubber. She told me she had one herself and knew I'd never regret buying it. I never did regret it.

I have Googled Celebrity Syringe several times, but have not seen any mention of it on the web, except years ago another question about them.

Years ago, I purchased a red folding bag from Optimal Health Network. Kristina Amelong was giving enema sessions in her Madison, Wi clinic. The bag was made with a black collar that had some lightweight chain attached to hang it. It was sold as an "Antique" enema bag & It held about 3 quarts. She also had them in black. I've also seen a similar bag in yellow /amber. I believed Grant was likely her supplier and he was featured at a Las Vegas EFEST before Jade passed away.

I enjoyed that bag for years and eventually passed it on to a wonderful member here at Zity. The member has been a "friend" here for a long time and has been more involved in the wonderful world of enemas (WWE ?) I would love to see a picture of it in that I never took one.

I contacted Kristina in hopes that she still had some old stock that hadn't sold. She did not. Other members from the older days of Beth Tyler may have some knowledge as to Grant's status, or other potential suppliers of the copies of vintage syringes. Other members had direct contact with the "Collector" who may know who could devise a special order in light of the costs of production.

The bottom line is that an enema solution likely initiates results regardless of the delivery mechanism. But, it sure creates some degree of ambiance and excitement to have a good old fashioned enema bag that reminds us of those times in the distant past!

I have owned latex feminine travel syringes and wax nostalgic when I think about them. As I remember them, the latex was a light yellow in color with a distinct pleasant odor. They had a black rubber band on top for filling and suspension and they held about two liters. When full, they were square but as they discharged the enema into my rectum, magic happened!

The magic was that these bags were translucent and you could watch the meniscus move toward the bottom of the bag. You knew how much enema remained to be injected. That was great but the fascintion for a lonely man was the apparent reason that thy were called, "Feminine" syringes! That is, as the enema solution drained from the bag, a cleavage appeared on either side of the travel bag. That travel portion of the bag's nomenclature could make a business man who was on a trip lonely. However, the bag's feminine cleavages could magically transport him home!

This may sound like a stretch but personally, I had a career of travel on the road and those travel bags reminded me of home nights when I was away. I wish those bags could be manufactured again! Those enemas were always good to the last drop!

I remember having both a yellow and pink latex bag and mine also eventually ripped out around the grommet.

I’m disappointed that these are no longer easily available. In fact I’ve had trouble buying any kind of bag, even disposable, in a store recently. Does that vary by area or do less stores carry anything besides the fleet enemas now.

Has anyone seen this? Does anyone have any information about this vendor or the quality of the bag?

At the time we got married my wife had an extremely nice Davol Travelfold syringe. It was amber with amber hose and white nozzles. It lasted nearly 20 years but finally failed where the fold weakened it. She was not happy and its replacement was a Tinykit that she didn't like all that well. At the time we got married she had also bought us a red combination syringe that has been used for enemas and we still have it.

I've not seen the amber one, but I've seen the red one with the nozzles in CVS for about $20.

I still have a brand new Grant's bag and am holding on to it, it's sealed in a zip lock bag to keep the air away. I'm not into latex molding, but I don't think it would be difficult to fabricate. A form, coated with a mold release, dipped multiple times into liquid latex, I like yellow or amber. The plastic ring for the top has to be machined or molded, no big deal. I also wanted to make a duplicate of a JBL but never got around to it. Who is into latex molding? the hoseman1

Just guessing but look around at enema products these days. Most if not all say “LATEX FREE”. There is a latex allergy, so I guess for liability reasons manufacturers and retailers want to avoid the substance. Oddly, except for colon tubes. The deepest most invasive enema device there is. Maybe because latex tubes just work!

I have had several of the latex bags in the past. The first was a semi-transparent amber latex, maybe a Davol. Then I had a yellow latex Faultless Folding Syringe, and later, one or two similar bags that were pink. When I was working and sometimes travelling, they were my favorite because they were small and convenient to pack in their own little plastic purse. I have not seen them in stores lately.

I'm looking for comments on the vendor that I mentioned and the quality. Anyone have any experience with them?
