The fountain syringe I've used for many years barely holds two quarts, and I'm fine with that. In fact, I'll often feel full taking only a partial "bulging" bag, which I admit looks quite sexy hanging over me in bed.
Growing up, the bag that scared my siblings and I the most, was a three-quart pumpkin bag. It scared us, because of how big it looked when full. From around age six to the summer I turned nine, mom used it whenever she gave us enemas laying across our bed together. By doing that, she only had to fixed one soapy and one rinse enema. Then, move down the line, giving each of us a quart using the same bag and nozzle. Doing both the soapy and rinse enemas that way.
Occasionally, mom gave us rinse enemas for no apparent reason. When that happened (usually on a rainy day), she always used her two-quart closed top bag, that was completely full. And the moment we saw her with it, we knew we were in for a big, long enema. She gave these enemas real slow, because she wanted us to try and take and hold as much as we possibly could. The hard part was twofold, holding it for five minutes, and waiting your turn. We didn’t mind getting these enemas, it’s just they took a while, and sucked if you happened to be last. The funny thing was, the closed top bag didn’t scare us, as much as the pumpkin bag did.
At grandmas, during the same time period, mom’s two younger sisters were responsible for our evening bath including enemas. Being closer in age to us than mom, they were more like older siblings than aunts. And like mom, they used grandma's pumpkin bag the same way she did. Saving them time, on evenings they used it for our enemas before a bath. On evenings they didn’t use the pumpkin bag, they used either a closed or open top bag, for both soapy and rinse enemas. And like mom, they liked to occasionally push our limits. But unlike mom, they pushed both soapy and rinse enemas using a completely full two-quart bag. It was during one of these enemas, at age ten, that I first took a routine two quart soapy followed by rinse enema.
After our first 3H enemas, the summer I turned nine, grandma had the girls switch us from getting enemas laying naked across their lap to the knee chest position. She also told them to stop using the pumpkin bag an adult rectal nozzle and start using a closed or open top bag and a long-curved douche nozzle. Something both girls had already been doing, just not the douche nozzle. She did this, to increase our enemas from a quart to a quart and a half. Opening the door for the girls to push our limits even further. Then, the next summer before I turned ten, she increased our enemas to a full two-quart bag. What my siblings and I didn’t realize, but the girls did. Grandma had both two quart, and two and a half quart closed and open top douche/enema bags. Switching between versions without our knowledge.
