GOLD dental work

I have several gold crowns. I have only had a couple actual cavities, but I'm hard on my teeth and have cracked several of them. My dentist is a perfectionist, and says only gold crowns will withstand my oral abuse. So far he's been right. He's had to replace a couple white crowns done by previous dentists, but his have not failed me yet...

If I'm not mistaken Gold is supposed to be the most bio-compatible of all dental restoration materials and one of the most durable. I haven't gotten to the point where I need crowns but if it does happen I think I'll be asking about gold. They really do look the best and if they hold up longer than other options it seems like the way to go.
