Anyone have Babysitters allowed to administer spankings or other punishments?

Although this did not happen to me, I was wondering if anyone experienced this. Did anyone ever have a babysitter who was allowed to administer spankings or other punishments? I imagine this would have not happened much after the 1980s. If so, what happened? Were they a senior at your school? We had babysitters, generally daughters of family friends who went to my sister’s school. We were never punished, but they would tell our parents if we had misbehaved, for which there were usually consequences from our mother later.

I had a babysitter who watched me starting when I was in 3rd grade (8 years old) and she was in 7th grade (12 years old). She lived just a few lots down from my parents' house.

The following year, when she was 13 and I was 9, she was hired to stay with me over a weekend. My father had told her not to be afraid to give me give me a "good spanking" if I misbehaved. By the time Saturday evening rolled around, I had tested her patience one too many times, so she told me to strip to my boxers and fetch a good switch from the Granny Smith apple tree in her parents' backyard. Even at the age of 13, she was very athletic (and very attractive, to my 9.y.o. liking). She disciplined me many times over the next 4 years, until she left for college. And a few times when she was home from college.

I had a HUGE crush on her, so when I turned 18 (she was not yet 23 at the time), I asked her out on a date, and she lent me her hairbrush and let me get even for all the spankings that she had given me for about 8 years. Yes I had two different babysitters who were allowed to spank me. One was male and one was female. They were both hired to watch me from when I was 12 to 14 years old and they were both four years older than me. So when I was 12 they were 16 and when I was 14 they were 18. Not just babysitters; when I was growing up my mom made it perfectly clear any adult in charge had permission to spank me. My protests were met with "behave and you don't need to worry about it." This was a pretty common attitude at the time and place I grew up. People knew kids were michievious, and full of foolishness, and needed instant painful consequences as a deterrent.

So my only hired babysitter was 8 years older tthan me, and had full permission to spank me. And yes, spanking implied bare bottom. It didn't happen much, she usually only threatened it. I was a child who HATED spankings, so the threat was almost always enough to make me straighten up.

My cousins watched me as well as grandparents and occasionally neighbors, and they all could and would spank me. It was very rare, because I did not want to test them, especially my cousins. Younger babysitters generally gave worse spankings, in my experience.

Back in my childhood days pretty much anyone was allowed to spank if I did something wrong that warranted such a punishment. I just learned to not do punishable things or get caught.

In the seventies we did childcare. The majority of parents let us spank. One mother the first time she came brought a paddle for us to use. The details varied by family.

My sister and I worked well together to cover for each other if we did something we were not suppose to. It wasn't often but it saved the butt.

In the 80's, I had a few babysitters in the neighborhood. One was right across the street. Her family is one of the major drivers behind my kinks. Her daughters are all around my age and they got spankings and a couple were in those wonderful, thick, pink, plastic diapers from that era. I was allowed to cross the street to go to their house at 5-6 y/o. On my side of the street, there was a lady who watched my brother and me most weekdays. Her youngest son was a year older than me. He probably felt the same way I did when he got spanked by someone who wasn't family. Those were the only times a babysitter spanked us.

I was never spanked by a babysitter, but they most certainly had permission. Actually it was always included in the instructions, as my parents were departing for an evening out. My dad always told them, “If he acts up or doesn't mind you, you blister his ass until he can't sit down!” I always found this parting instruction a bit embarrassing, but at the same time somewhat exciting knowing that she could, if she chose, give me a severe spanking.
