How to approach potential play friends?

My wife and I have played for years, not too often, but we have a dedicated playroom with a nice setup and equipment. This is mainly because for me it is really something that is part of my life, and even if only being alone by myself in that space, setting up things, thinking about ways to setup the next session, experimenting with e-stim and sensations on myself, all is what I very much value.

We have had some guest players over the years, but we moved a lot from one country to the other, due to my jobs and therefore we have no fixed play group.

We would really like to extend our play opportunities, with inexperienced or experienced likeminded people, meaning, having a “natural” fetish for medical play, in a bit more kinky bdsm oriented way.

We have nice facilities, but underused. It is like having a house with a pool in a new area, with not a lot of friends to invite, although many people would enjoy a day at our pool, but we do not know them!

Of course here on zity I met some nice people and with some it lead to an encounter. Also fetlife has been a source.

But, still it is quite “thin”. There must be plenty of candidates walking around not too far from us that would be great play friends but they are not on this type of website. Or, are there just not that many people in the world with this interest?

Any couple, playdoctors, patients have experience with casual play encounters? How did you get to know eachother? Anyone experience with approaching people without knowing in advance that they might be interested? E.g. making an initial friendship and then bring it up?

I;ve really wondered about this and want to follow and learn from this thread. I know I have friends who are really experimental and also would (eventually) understand the health benefits as well as find the enjoyment. At present all I do, and can do is leave rectal thermometers in easily visible locations and on top of vaseline jars; sometimes the enema bag is drying hung in the bathroom, or in the linen closet where someone would have to get a hand towel or something. But, beyond that I have no idea how to approach someone with this subject. I've often thought of actually taking some of the role play scenarios and tying to convince a friend that "they don't look well or they don't seem themselves", but, I'm really unsure of how to get "into" with someone I believe would enjoy it. So, I'm here to learn from the more knowing!

First, your leaving stuff "out" might get some people inclined towards such things to comment or mention it to you and you might be able to explain and expand from there, but I wouldn't count on it except for the people most comfortable both within themselves so as to not have any real embarrassment and to say something to you. It's essentially asking people to mind-read.

But people less secure in themselves or in what effect it might have in the moment or in the future probably wouldn't risk it. I know I got my 21st birthday enemas from two very nice young women because I spoke up about the enema/douche bag that one of them left hanging on the shower rod in her apartment bathroom. But I was comfortable enough to "compliment" her on her choice of bathroom decorations and things went from there.

OTOH, I would guess that you have some person or persons in mind to play with. Rather than role play in the manner that you have suggested in them not looking well, why not ask them to take your rectal temperature or to give you an enema? Rather than doing something "to them," see if they are willing to play with you if you're willing to accept them in that role.

You might go from there to offer to return the favor.

A bit more overt approach is to have the enema bag staged so that it is out, filled, and ready to go. You either tell your intended partner that you were preparing for an enema and ask them if they'd like to help (or you could offer it to them if they'd like). One of the most sensuous enemas I've ever received was because the friend of mine who administered it discovered my full enema bag that I had planned to administer to myself. She and the experience was wonderful in so many ways.

Just a few thoughts for you.

My limited experience learned me that talking is a good start. When we had friends coming over I sometimes started talking about low limit topics, like the movie 50 Shades of Grey and then carefully monitor and analyse their response. Then you can decide to go of into more sensitive topics of not. The main idea is to start talking anyway. If you wait for the other to start talking you can wait very long imho.

Like about enema's you can talk clinically about the benefits and go on from there.
