@countrysquire unless you have permission to use the commercial dumpster you may wanna re-think that. It would be even more embarrassing to have the cops come and get involved and find it.
A long time ago I was part owner of a business that had a dumpster. We paid to have it dumped every week and it was 6 yards. You pay the same if it is empty or full. Everybody who worked there got to use it, with the caveat that they did so over the weekend, and they did not overflow it. The service dumped the thing on Monday morning.
I cleaned out one of my many spaces and had a truckload of stuff to get rid of and the dumpster was near empty, so that was good. I am going from the truck to the dumpster and back just having a good ol time and the next thing I know I got town cops on both sides of me and behind me blocking me in. Their cop game of 20 questions came to an abrupt end when I escorted them into the locked business with a key, disarmed the alarm, and pointed to the name next to my office door. My guess is they don't dress in uniform on their days off either. They told me someone had called and it being a college town, illegal dumping is a big deal for a lot of businesses.
Monday rolls around and I told a few people at work about my adventure and later on that day, the front office girl put in a call to me. It was the little old lady who called the cops! She was all excited and was wondering if they caught the guy and if I heard about it!
The short of it is, if it ain't your dumpster, and it is something you really would prefer not getting caught with, put it in your own trash.
