Tracking when a suppository has melted

Since suppositories have a melting point (or melting trajectory) below body temperature, would it be possible to track when a suppository melts by using a rectal thermometer and waiting for it to register body temperature again?

If the probe were in the suppository, yes. Otherwise unlikely, as the size of a suppository is very small and the surface area of the rectum is large (and has lots of capillaries).

This would only be for oil-based or other thermally melting suppositories as well. Glycerin or other ones that dissolve don't work that way.
