Technical info requested regarding plastic pants.

Okay... so I'm in Europe. I have shopped from ABDL Factory and was happy with their service.

I'm a DL that loves wearing...

I am however a closet wearer... I have few moments when I can wear freely during the day. At night, on the sofa. (Sad, I know).

I like the plastic feeling, I don't like nappies that don't have the plastic backing.

I bought a long time ago (late 1980's) from Boots (UK) some PVC plastic pants that are very soft and noise free.

I bought some recently from Cuddlz via EBay that were also PVC but fairly hard (when cold, they soften a bit once you wear them). The snap on ones have not stood the test of time. Possibly because I was putting them on as pull ups and so straining them.

I now see a lot of products with PUL backing.

Essentially I'm asking you guys and gals for a European overview of what the options are remembering I'm a DL:

PVC - but how to tell if soft or not?

PUL - What the heck are they? Do they feel like plastic?

other types?

Any suggestions as to specific brands? - Available in the EU? From which suppliers?

I can answer one of your questions regarding plastic and PUL.

Plastic pants are very soft and are very good for a short period, however they are intolerant of almost all chemicals especially petroleum jelly and Sudocream which rapidly degrades the plastic turning it hard and brittle, a pair of plastic pants used to last me three to five weeks before they started to break up and become very uncomfortable to your skin.

PUL are about three timesthe price of plastic pants but have dome serious advantages such as being very resistant to most jelly petroleum products and Sudocream as well as nappy rash creams, I have many pairs of these and some last four months and mostly last a lot longer, they usually get discarded as the elastic loses its stretch and also over time the PUL material itself stretches whichis not a problem.

Arizona healthcare.uk sell them on mail order or by phone.

I highly reccomend PUL as they are such good value and feel very nice to wear, cool to the skin also.

Good luck in your hunt for suitable products.

Dlwee sadly the all plastic backed nappies are now getting hard to get hold of.

I used to get plastic backed Tena maxi slips and they were the best I had tried, but now it seems only the "cotton feel" ones are obtainable ?

I am currently using plastic backed ID form slips and the new ones are a compromise with front to back plastic but the four "wings" are cotton feel plastic, and like most of these things they leak from the sides if you are a side sleeper.

Thank you for the couple of replies here. I have gone ahead and ordered vinyl / pvc and Pul from ABDL Factory. I will be interested to see the differences when they arrive and what I prefer. I suspect the PUL will be my least favourite from what I have read, but you never know!
