Age regression and interest in it

I have always had a urge to feel held and loved by someone who feels comforting to me as i regress and i feel the urge to do it now more then ever. But still i dont know i am curious yet nervous about how i feel inside. Any ideas from the community on how to slide into it

I think childhood history has a huge impact...if your parents held you or not. Age regression is used as a means to protect the psyche from emotional harm in face of danger. Especially in an abusive home...but I think someone like myself who likes to be a little girl comes from the abuse I saw at home and left me to act childishly and people hate that about me, but find it fascinating so my age play comes from abuse sadly mostly verbal from my father to my mom. I guess it is another chance at childhood even though having my siblings and good friends did help to try to escape the arguments. I just went into my own world to not hear what was happening down stairs.

Yes, these are my own exact feelings also. My real childhood was horrific and so now I think I am almost self-medicating by wanting a caring mother-type to give me what I was never given as a child?

I don't know how to slip into it either. I have not yet found a motherly figure in my life. I think though,once you have found the right person, let them lead. They will probably be quite used to mothering and will take control. Then you can decide and say what feels good, not-so-good and what might be good to try?

The "comforting" part is definitely one of the most rewarding parts of age play, in my opinion....whether I'm in the Mommy role, or the little girl role. It usually occurs after a Punishment or Disclipline ...such as a spanking, or corner time, or enema. But comforting afterwards let's the little one know that the punishment/discipline is over, and if they've been a good girl and taken it appropriately, then they are still loved. Comforting can be just sitting on Mommy's lap and being stroked, hugged, kissed; or it can be snuggling on a bed and much more intimate touching and intrusions take place.
