Rectal Temperature in GLEE

So, there I was watching Season 2/Episode 7 of GLEE and the male character who plays the glee club director [Matthew Morrison] is sick in bed while his hot-but-stupid ex-wife, Terri, [Jessalyn Gilsig] cares for him.

The next thing I know, she is saying,

"Now roll over and pull your pants down because we're gonna take baby's temperature."

He says, "No."

** But all the while she is lubricating a glass thermometer with petroleum jelly (albeit an oral thermometer)

She says, "But baby knows that the only way that we can get an accurate reading."

He says, "Stop, Terri. I don't wanna play 'sick baby' with you."

What this tells me is that "rectal temperature taking" dominates peoples' thoughts when the topic of temperature taking comes to mind. It's just a shame that they don't act upon it!

From a women's point of view, great clip ... BUT WHAT AN ARSE HE IS! I know at least 50 guys who would give blood for that to happen to them, and based on how hot she is, probably double that number of women, with me included!

What is the matter with that guy I would have rolled over on to my tummy and pulled my PJs down to my knees.

I would not only have rolled over, but would have found a way to have her lay down and rollover for the same procedure

There's NOTHING wrong with that guy.

He just isn't into rectal temps and given the circumstances, he wasn't feeling well and wasn't about to make it sexual.

What's not to understand about that?

By looking at the show Glee, the pretty woman who wanted to play sick babt is very pretty and slender woman. I can just picture her being a real life nurse and telling me in an exam room that she needs to take my temperature but, the only way that it is taken is rectally because all they have are rectal thermometers. I can just myself dropping my pants for her to take it.

Honestly, i love rectal temp taking but i do not find that scene "hot" or somethng like that.

That episode of Glee was fairly recent, which would imply that the producers assumed that the audience would be able to make a solid connection with the erotic side of a rectal temperature, and ass play. I wonder how the idea for that scene was sparked. Apparently, rectal temperatures aren't so taboo.

I would never turn down a rectal temperature from Jessalyn Gilsig, even though it would never happen in 10 lifetimes..lol.

Used to watch that show, but don’t remember that scene.

I find it interesting that a mainstream show acknowledges that a woman may wish to have fun with her partner by taking his temperature rectally.
