I want to make you think a bit.....

Although we would all like to think there will be

a day that we can walk down the street in our diapers and plastic pants without

a glance (or maybe in many cases with a second glance) i don't think it will ever happen.

the association of diapers with children/babies will always be there for

those who do not appreciate our desires(fetish) and they view us as a threat

to their children, even though we only want to be their children.

we are simply a contradiction to what nature has programmed into each of

us for survival of the species and we will never be seen as 'acceptable',

much less the norm.

if you do not believe this, ask yourself this question...if you did not know

yourself, would you let you hang out with your kids. the answer is inevitably

a resounding "no", and if not, you are not fit to be parents.

learn to love yourself for what you are, and what you can be, but do not

expect this kind of understanding from your fellow man/woman; in the long

run you end up no better than what many of us like to do in our diapers.

Well yes and no! if the person was incontinent then i would not care becuase they cannot controll things like that at all. if it was a fetish then maybe not but also depending on the persons personanlity. if its a kid hanging around another kid who likes diapers what the hell let em it dont bother no one except the kid wearing them anyway. but for a adult trying to hang around another kid well then its just sick pereiod. we all want to be childlike in our desires even if we say we are only a dipaer lover, who wears them besides incontinent adults? babies and thats it. so diaper lovers even though they wish to be adult like in other things, the diapers are babyish and thats the truth. but for me well im no predator or child molester but i like diapers alot and would love to find the right person to share my fetish with in life. but never would i want to hang around a real child or date one so thats it thats my input on this one. sorry if this is confusing but im tired and its late LOL its the best i could do this late at night

Certanly,most of us want understanding and acceptance,and you are correct in saying that a lot of people misinterpret this fetish behavior.

The word fetish means what? I understand it to be a sexual turn-on. If that were the case then no it should be kept privet.

On the other hand if you call it a life stile then you should be given the right to live your life the way you see fit.

For me I know it is a life stile and I could not change any more then gay (or straight) person could change their preference. The G & L community had t their rights and I suppose we will have to do like wise. The fight will need to include educating people that we are not pedophiles or predators. We are just nice people , with children of our own, who simply put "must wear diapers". Even so I can wear my diaper with out having to prove to the world that I am diapered. I will leave the fantasy of a diaper and a T-shirt to AB parties and a stroll in the woods.

I would rather know and be judged by others. to me not knowing is hard enough, that and I know that i don't care what others think about me because that is just the way I am. If they want to judge me let them but how cares. That is just how the human mind works.

After pondering this question for a while, I can only conclude that I'm not all that interested in whether people would accept me if they knew I wore diapers. I wouldn't want to have sex in public, that is a private thing, same as my desire to wear a diaper. Although I am heterosexual, I can see why the Gay & Lesbian community had to endure years of ridicule, sooner or later someone is going to find out about your realtionships, that would be difficult to hide. But diapers...thats like asking everyone what type and color of underwear they choose to put on every day. It's no one's business, and should remain private.

I know it would be much easier for the AB/DL community to find others that enjoy this lifestyle if we all banded together and let everyone know we want acceptance, you have to remember, less than 2% of the population (this is only information from what I have read, I don't have any scientific studies you can access) has this "fetish", therefore, almost everyone you meet is not going to have any understanding of our desire. Should you choose to be noticed while indulging in this lifestyle, you're going to invite some disapproving stares and unwelcomed comments. Your friends and loved ones may consider it a little bizarre but harmless, but not complete strangers.

for a lot of AB/DLs the satisfaction is "returning" to babyhood

this means not being a baby all the time, but returning to it

it also likely means that there is a buzz in doing something so retro

it is a shock and a shame and a pleasure to play with the forbidden

it is self-centred and a way of dealing with sex on one's own

these sort of thoughts show that AB/DL has nothing to do with real-life babies

for myself, and I'm sure most AB/DLs, there would be no buzz in hanging with kids at all

remember, i know i'm not a kid, so my buzz is in being seduced (don't tell me your diapers and/or plastic panties haven't seduced you ;-) back into plastic panties

Well sally i dont know for everyone here but for me i think we all like diapers becasue it brings back to a state of babyhood where none of lifes worries and problems appear!!!! when i was needing them 24-7 not long ago now, there was days that big boys life was first and baby life was second! And then there was days like the weekends where baby life was first and big boy life second and i realy felt like when i was in my little guy mode my worries where gone from me, didint think about anything going on in life but my diapers and binkie and food. so its kinda of a release type deal for me wish i could find a willing partner in life to have fun and share this fetish wish!!! i have had a few girlfreinds since becoming incontinent and some thought i looked cute in diapers but didnt want to play anything with me or the diapers. As far as bieng around kids is concerned,I don't see a problem. My sister's kids who are all grown up now played with me ever since the were very little. Most of the time I was wearing thick cloth diapers and plastic panties and they never knew and don't know till this day. They have since moved to another province but they still think of me as "The Tickle Monster". So you can be a baby inside but that doesn't mean you can't be a good uncle.

Very true - Unfortunately the association with children is understandably too frightening for people who do not understand the fetish and it is unlikely that anyone who can't relate to the fetish would appreciate that ab/dl's are not inherently pedophiles.

As for me I know my desire to have a girl do things in diapers does in no way translate to me seeing children in that way also.

Umm, yes actually and i happen to think that i would be a good mother so.. ya 😜 lol. for one, much like a few people have said, if the person was incontinent then of course because it's not their fault and if by chance my kids noticed or found out, i would explain to them why the incontinent person has to wear diapers. if it was for pleasure (ie: fetish) then.. why not? being a dl has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with pedophillism and i would assume that the person wearing the diapers would keep it un-noticable or not wear them at all when my kids (or any kids) were to be around. and if the topic of why came up and they said that they wore it for sexual reasons then... yes, i certainly wouldn't let my kids around them but not because of the diapers but because that is sex abuse.

If it were only me and no one else could be shamed by my public display, then, yes i would want to be seen by others.

I like the shame. It's part of my "fetish" I guess, but ones I love are not there. So, it is always important for me to be concern about my actions have on others I love.

I have given this alot of thought, and I would be very leary of

someone being around my child....if I wasn't incontinent (and also AB/DL). I can honestly see how the general population can hold the impression, "If he likes diapers, he must have a thing for kids", simply due to the fact that it is constantly pounded into our heads that diapers=babies.

If someone has never had to deal with incontinence or being a bedwetter (which often leads to a fascination with, or a love of diapers, more often than not) they (the majority of people) cannot see beyond their own personal experiences. I also believe that it holds true for most people, including us.

My sister knows of my need for diapers (and I do believe she knows of my love of them),and she never thinks twice of asking me to look after her kids.

Speaking only for myself, a father of two grown children, I can say that I did not want my children exposed to this and kept my fetish to myself. Part of the attraction of this fetish is that it is so against the norm. Read Steven Kings fire-starter some time. In it he tells of the perversity of toilet training and how deeply it is ingrained in all of us. I believe that the more mainstream this fetish becomes the less thrilling it will be. However, when I was the only person in the world who felt this way(before I knew there were others) I was lonely and sick with guilt, and couldn't stop. I like that there are others, you my brothers and sisters, but this is much too good for the common man(tee hee)

I agree that finding this website has made me feel better about my enjoyment of wearing diapers. When I first started to think about doing so several years ago, I was embarrassed, and it took absolutely ages before I could bring myself to try it out. Reading about so many other people into the same thing as I has really bolstered my confidence a lot. That is, I'm not ready to wear an obvious diaper around others, but I have no problem wearing one in private any more, nor is there an issue with me buying new diapers in the store.
