Neither should ever cause any problems. I hope you're not living under that old myth that you will start to poop your pants. You're asshole was designed for a lifetime of heavy use, and unless you do something REALLY stupid, it will be watertight forever. I can get fisted (even a double), or insert truly devilish things in my butt, and still hold water in a half hour or so.

As for deep, use a good deep cleanout, and the sky's the limit. I recently aquired a 39" colon snake, and it went in all the way first try.

Honestly, wider would be a better play as due to the shape of your colon, a long dildo can potentially penetrate through your colon tissue if you're not careful, meaning a hospital call or worse. Wider dildos may be harder to get it at first but the sensation coupled with the fact that there is virtually no chance of accidents means that they are perfect! Have you tried butt plugs? They are awesome for stimulation.

I enjoy both depth and girth. So far I have been able to insert a 38" 1 1/4" colon snake completely. I am now working on getting a 1 1/2" colon snake inserted which has been a challenge so far possibly do to my physical body frame. As far as girth, I have been able to insert a 3.8" wide soft dildo fully and will be working on getting my new Walrus dildo inserted today as soon as it arrives. I enjoy them both as well.....I think both can be equally pleasurable and equally dangerous. Stretching the anus too much can rip it and cause tears and bleeding. Going to deep can cause perforation. Both should be equally enjoyed and exercised with caution.

Actually, I enjoy both. I have an 18" dildo I really enjoy that I easily take all the way. I'm thinking of getting a 39" shower shooter for enemas and depth play. From past experience, I'm sure I can take 24" and will hope for more. Butt, I also really enjoy a good stretch. So far, my widest dildo measures 2.75" diameter. I go through phases. A year ago I was into colon tubes and enjoying inserting a 1" x 66" colon tube all the way to the end of my colon. Ms Erin, the diameter and softness/firmness of the tube makes a huge difference--probably the most important thing. I used a soft #10 silicone material from Silicon Nozzles.

Lately, I've been into shorter and fatter toys, but I still enjoy going into my sigmoid colon. Always play it safe but...for toys,stretch me and fill me up! For enemas we always use a Kylesa KP-2 delrin nozzle that is 6 1/2" long. It feels very nice massaging my prostrate during a fill.

As deep as your widest toy will allow...or put another way, as deep as comfortably can.

I go for girth over depth. About ten inches deep is good for me, but I have stretched my hole to where I can take just over three inches thick and I am working on more. No colon snakes or anything like that for me.

I am afraid of going to deep and hurting something. So I do for girth. if it gets to thick, I stop and go smaller. If I do go to thick and it over stretches me. And makes last effects. well I guess my doctor will see that I have a well abused ass someday.

I prefer the stretch of a nice girth rather than depth...about 4-5 inches insertable and, well i can go pretty wide with no damaging effects. It is a matter of lots of lube and patience. Don't force it in!

I'm all for stretching, but lately my enema sessions are starting to be regular and more thorough so I'm looking for a colon tube for easier deeper cleaning and all those extra sensations that come along. I might order some depth play toys also, although I have always had hard times passing my sigmoid bend.

For most of my life, I have been in the width/stretching camp, with ever larger plugs, etc. About eight years ago I had a series of IRC treatments [infrared] for a bad case of hemorrhoids inside on the anal sphincter. The treatment were successful and for the most part pain free. However, I was left with resultant scar tissue that greatly reduced the elasticity of this first muscle ring going into my rectum. I think I am pretty much maxed out at 1.75 inches in diameter going in, but with an inflatable plug I can achieve some really good fullness with enough bulb squeezes.

I was always afraid of depth play, having heard all the horrible stories about lost toys, injuries, and the like, not to mention diagrams of the lower anatomy showing the twists and turns as you go further up and in. Yes! twisting and also withdrawing and slowly advancing again. patience makes a big difference; forcing things is bad idea. And the horror stories are almost all of things that won't come out so the simplest precaution is to only use things that always have a portion on the outside, of larger diameter than what's inside. Most butt plugs and dildos have this feature but coke bottles and light bulbs, to name two nutty things to use, don't.

I like to use fingers and add more as things progress. I've also used a bumpy glass plug and used a wand on the front side at the same time. I've always loved going wider. The stretching and fullness have always been a huge turn on for me. A couple of moths ago, however, I bought a new dildo that was just a little longer (7" insert-able, as opposed to 6 or 6.5), and it bottomed out in me. the feeling was exhilarating. For me I have opted for going deeper over wider. I seem to have a max limit of about 1.75 inches in width that I can comfortably insert. Larger than that it begins to hurt and I listen to my anus telling me that's it and back off- you are risking a tear if you go keep going.

So going deep is a much more achievable fun thing to do. I of course do extensive enemas before and have enough experience to know when my colon is clear and ready for deep penetration. I have a Silicone Nozzle colon tube (pic on my profile page) that is about 30 inches long and about a 1.25 inches in diameter, which I use as deep penetrator and not as an enema nozzle. I have gotten well up into my descending colon 20 plus inches. Once through the sigmoid bend, I can see the tube making a bulge under my skin as it moves up the colon. Yes you have to be absolutely careful not to push and risk a puncture, but I have learned to stop when this tube or any of my other tubes seem to hit a stopping point and I will feel a poking feeling. I don't always achieve deep penetration but on the days I do, it is a kinky delight.

If you have hit a wall at 9" you are probably hitting your sigmoid. This is where you should be using a small 5/8"-1" colon snake to enter your sigmoid especially if this is the first time. I found the easiest way was by using a silicone colon tube with hole and hooking it up to a Clean Stream Shower head attachment. I turn the warm water on and have enough water pressure going through the tube to create about a 5" tall stream shooting up when holding the nozzle upwards. This way you let the water pressure help work the tube through your colon and depending on length in and past your sigmoid. Personally I would have at least a 24" inch tube though a 19" should get into your sigmoid. Getting the right angle of insertion is the trick along with enough pressure to push it into the sigmoid and slow breathing. Once you hit that 9" depth that gives you resistance, slow down and concentrate on your breathing and slowly work the tube back and forth keeping just a slight bit of pressure to help it along. Adjust the angle and as you breath you should be able to feel the path you need to take as you go deeper. LOTS of lube always and eventually you will feel it enter. It took me a month or so of trying before I was able to get the tube into my sigmoid. After that I slowly would increase the width by 1/4" increments. I am presently up to 1.5" diameter and have hit my limit. I have been able to bury a 38" snake but have found I did not get a lot of extra enjoyment and sensations of going that deep and instead found having a snake entering my sigmoid and slowly working it in and out give me much more pleasure. Just always be careful. There is ALWAYS a risk of hurting yourself badly and you do not want that!

I feel at 10 inches deep this obstacle. By moving the pool of muscles which means forward to me, I feel the way is getting in. You should try to move the muscles in all directions, You can feel when it's good. Then you have to practice it. We are not the same so it's not a scripture. I give the advice here while I'm still a beginner 😃 . If I push slowly it deeper I feel that there something opens(You can feel that passes through the resistance) and after it's easier to slip inside. I found that this is not always true. If I'm a bad pass I can not turn off the stress or other reasons, it hurts. Then you should not force it.

For me, (I think), it has even happened that the dildo is slipped in the wrong direction. I would say it is not on the central of canal, it went to the side.
