First Time Colon Tube

I've had positive experience ordering from medtech3000.de and I'm thinking of getting one of these for a first time colon tube. They're 5' long, available in sizes from 15-36Fr, and certainly affordable. Anyone have any experience with these or a recommendation for size? Should I just get the 36Fr?

Get the 36 or larger if available.

It is unlikely you will get the 36Fr deeper than 18-24 inches even after being cleaned out.

I use a 40fr, side-outlet, and I've cut it back to about 25 inches. The side-outlet allows a rounded nose that won't catch on anything and I get about 20 inches in slowly and carefully. --its a nice ride.

I have found this to be a great colon tube for easy, deep insertions.

I believe the low surface tension of the silicone vs rubber makes for the easier insertion.

This has become my main delivery colon tube/nozzle

I take a 2qt SSE for initial clean out.

Then fill the bag with 4 qts of water and with a slow flow advance the colon tube do the desired depth.

Every day is a little different, I never force insertions. Generally 3 to 4 feet of the colon ube gets inserted and

I take 3-3.5 quarts of water most often, 4 qts frequently.

I have that Colin tube from Seeking Health. It came with my silicone bag from them as part of a kit. Honestly, I've had no luck with it. It just bends and doubles back.

Don't just push, turn /twist it back and forth, lubricate the tube, and insert with water flow.

Maybe you are just full of crap, so take a pint to quart preliminary enema (different tip), expel, then try the colon tube.

You don't need to use a different tip. I used (and still use sometimes) that exact tube as a rectal tube. Just insert a couple of inches instead of further. You should hold it in place because it does like to come back out sometimes, but it works well and is easy to insert, especially if you're not used to having things inserted in your anus.

Getting the right colon tube for deep penetration can be tricky. The difficulty is getting one stiff enough to navigate through the bends and curves of the colon but not too stiff that it just gets stuck at the first turn. I have had the most luck inserting a 32 FR all the way up to my transverse colon. You may have to buy several tubes of differing widths and experiment to find the one that works best for you.

Get yourself completely clean with several enemas before trying to go for deep penetration. But go slow and don't push too hard. Learn to know the difference between a poking feeling and pain. Do a lot of advance and retreat moves to slowly make progress. Give yourself a full hour to play and experiment.

And realize that you won't be able to achieve deep penetration on each try. So pull back and be safe and try again on another day.

OK, I get this and have gotten this and can tell the difference, but my concern is with the type of innervation of the colon above the anal canal. Since it doesn't really "feel" the same way as the skin or anal canal how do you know that the pain doesn't come too late to warn you before you cause damage? When I tried I stopped at anything more than gentle poking and pulled back for a few more goes.

Again based on my personal experience, if I am having one of those days when the tube doesn't seem to want to go past my sigmoid bend I will do push and retreat moves. My colon tube is stiff enough so that I can feel the resistance when trying to advance it and that combined with the "poking feeling" has always given me enough feedback to never have and any injuries.

Sometimes I can see the tube bulge under my skin just a few inches off my left hip bone and that is where I feel the poking feeling. Once I reach that point, I know I am close to turning the corner and going up the descending wall. But some days it just doesn't go any further.

So I do "feel" the tube once I am out of the anal canal and rectum and in my colon. Another trick I use is to try to advance tube is to push while pretty full near an enema fill when the colon is distended and more open. Sometimes that works for me.

The bottom line is that you really don't know for sure and that is why if in doubt just stop and be safe.

I use a nearly half inch thick silicone, thick wall tube that receives a quarter inch fitting, which gives you an idea of the tube wall thickness. It has a natural curve to it, which gives it a steering capability. It has a smooth plastic plug terminating the delivery. I used a leather punch to put about 6 or 8 tiny holes radially, behind the plug stem. Study colon x-rays and diagrams to get a general logistic layout.

You can easily and quickly make a coconut oil bolus in the freezer. You can easily sneak in a couple table spoons of good oil that way. Then start your squirt in a more up-right position. Then as it advances the oil is carried in above the your enema. After about a quart of solution your tube will go much smoother. With your finger tips study its advancement and retreat. I often discover it poking around my belly button.

It is supposed to climb up by your ribs on the left side then cascade down over above your belly button, and onward to your right side, but not as high as on your left side. That hair pin curve on the left side becomes a challenge. Again, it is impossible without some filling opening up a channel for it to pass through. If your waste load is lite, sometimes that helps it advance better.

Many like to send in their coffee at the right curve forming the heptic flexure. Happy trails to ya !! With others, about 20 inch advancement is typical experience. Don't rush it!
