Being seen having a Rectal Temp

Some parents are TOTALLY THOUGHTLESS about things they subject their children to.

There is NO EXCUSE for that.

I was 13 , my sister was 12 .My sister was a year younger, but as Mom would say 3 years more mature them me , asked Mom to let her help , so she would know how to do it. Mom said ok, I protested, Mom said in some cases being exposed to another person while naked is inappropiate. But in some cases it is accepted. Mom said , Tony how do you think doctors and nurses learn, they make rounds with experenced medical people while being trained , and learn. They see the patients naked if necessary.

So how will Marie learn if she isn't allowed to see ????. She will be a mother someday and has to know how to do this. So be a big boy act like a adult.

When I was child there were probably a number times I was seen having a rectal temp. But for the most part my mother, aunt or grandmother who were the ones who would do a rectal temp they did it in private. It was a norm in our household, but I do remember being over my mom knees, underpants and pants to the ankles, thermometer in my bottom, Vaseline sitting on the kitchen when my mothers best friend walked in or one of my siblings with a friend on more than one occasion. I also was other knee at the doctors office in an exam having my temperature taken when the door was opened by the doctor who asked questions of the nurse in view of the waiting room.

I also was home sick with the chicken pox in the second grade for a week from school and the Vaseline the rectal thermometer were out in full view on the table next to the bed when my friends arrived to see how was doing after school (I no longer contagious at this point) when my mom came in shortly after they arrived and told them they had to leave because i needed to have my temperature taken. It was taken in private though. All the kids knew because they got that way too as well I am sure. No one was laughing or maklng a big deal about it.

This things in the 60s. Overall I remember it being common place. I saw my siblings and cousins get a rectal temp occasionally as well as a few friends, but I never considered more than the norm at the time. Today, the thought of is a fond memory but nothing to dwell on for me.

I don’t really remember anyone other then mom or the nurse or doctor seeing me with a thermometer in my bottom. Guess I am was pretty darn lucky in that aspect.

I have posted about my last high school physical at 18. the only time my rectal temp was taken in school.

Besides the school doctor, two ladys were present and did not miss anything of the show, the school nurse and the school psychologist.

In a way. we boys were lucky, as the girls, who also had their rectal temperature taken by this doctor, had a third person present at the exam, their female gym teacher. The boys gym male teacher had denied the invitation. saying he was not interested in this ''girlie gossip''.

Nothing like that ever happened to me, but a frequent fantasy is being seen at the doctor or having someone walk in or otherwise catch a glimpse when it’s taken at home or a setting like the school nurse’s office.

During my summers at the lake with my aunt and my girl cousin we both had our temperatures checked every morning by my aunt. We would go into her bedroom where we would drop our pajama bottoms and go one at a time over aunty's lap. My cousin Susie was present when I was over aunty's lap and I watched her get the same treatment. We were both about 9 or 10.

Clara, what reason did your aunt give for taking your and your cousins temp every day? How did your cousin feel about it?

My Brother saw me getting a Temp and i saw his.

When I was in primary school mom never worried about privacy and she took my temperature a few times where family could see. By the time I started puberty mom always did it in private. People sometimes walked in on us but they always left right away. The last time was last summer when my younger cousin stayed with us while she did a summer internship. I'm laying on my bed legs up with it in my bum and my cousin walked in to ask my mom something. We didn't make eye contact thankfully but I know she saw what was happening. She said sorry and walked out.

@Claratemps Every morning? Do you think she had a think for girls's bottoms or just for rectal temps? That seems excessive. At what age did it stop?

I was about 8 and shared my bedroom with my sister.

We were both off sick and the doctor came along for an home visit. He was not the normal one but a gruff, no nonsense old man that I am sure we have all come across. Like my old doctor he got us to take our nighties off and seth'd each of us in turn. Without asking us to undress more, he hooked his fingers into the waistband of my knickers and pulled them down down to my knees and turned me over onto my side and maneuvered my knees up.

The next thing I knew was that there was an hand on my butt cheek and I felt something being inserted into my anus. I had my back on to my sister so she got to see everything, and when he finished with me I watched her having it done. The feeling of lube up my arse felt weird.

When I was little I was in the hospital for a week my dad worked during the day and my mom didn't drive so the woman next store who I knew pretty well used to drive my mom to come see me. One day when they showed up while I was having my temperature taken, I was face down on the bed with the thermometer in my rear end. I'll be finished with him in just a couple minutes. I remember my mom and neighbor lady sitting down on the chairs for visitors only I few feet away. I was really embarrassed, turned my head towards them and they were both looking at me smiles on their faces

Although it didn’t happen often I remember the first time vividly. I was 16 and I can’t remember why but the office was super busy and after the nurse did the normal height/weight she took me to the doctors actual office and had me sit in a chair. He came in and said he needed to take my temperature and had me stand up and put my hands on his desk (I remember him clearly telling me to make a star pattern with my hands) and he pulled me about a step backwards and told me to spread my legs shoulder width apart and then he lowered my shorts and panties to just above my knees. I was concentrating on my hands like he said to as he put one hand on my butt and spread my cheeks open and inserted the thermometer up my butt. It wasn’t until I heard voices and looked to my left that I realized he didn’t close his office door so anyone going up and down the hallway got to see me getting my temperature taken. It was a weird feeling because it wasn’t like they actually saw anything other than the doctor standing behind me holding the thermometer up my butt while my shorts and panties were around my knees. Even the people who passed by the door couldn’t see my nakedness but it still felt so weird to me. I don’t think it even register to him that I kept looking over and then back at my hands every time I heard someone coming down the hall. And his office was at the end of the hall before you'd turn to go to the exam rooms. After several minutes he took the thermometer out and made a note on my chart and had a nurse bring me to the next open room to continue the exam.
